POLITICS 2006-2008
"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence. From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance, from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back into bondage." - Professor Joseph Olson
Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
FRANZ PICK once fairly characterized elections as "advanced auctions of stolen property".
"There is nothing more frightening than active ignorance." – Goethe
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
John 16:2-3 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship." - Alexander Tyler 1787 - Tyler was a Scottish history professor that had this to say about 2000 years after "The Fall of the Athenian Republic" and about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution.
"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan - A Time For Choosing (in support of Barry Goldwater's presidential bid) (full text).
"To spread the wealth the communist's willing: He'll tax your pennies and keep his shilling."
Mat 7:17-18 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." - James Madison
Why do so many mistakenly confuse our representative Republic with a democracy?
2008 ELECTIONS
Since the democrats want to define the election in terms of race, I say give it to them. Alan Keyes as a principled pit bull on an Obama. Mano et mano. Obama - who voted against a ban on "live birth" abortion, or Hillary's secret cabal on "health care", and global socialism and national sovereignty destruction masked as "it takes a village".
That Obama believes that people turn to religion because they are bitter, should not be a surprise, considering where he attended church for the last 20 years. How can we judge Jerimiah Wright's message?
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
THE FUTURE OF THE MIDDLE EAST
Make no mistake. Global political gamesmanship would be rendered trite, and in a moment, if Iran simply decided it was time to create the global chaos and bloodshed that Islamic fundamentalists believe is necessary to usher in their Mahdi, or Messiah. They could accomplish this by simply demanding payment for oil, in gold. The little boy would then be pointing to the phony paper currency emperors worldwide and shouting "The emperors have no clothes!" This would cause an immediate collapse in banking, currencies, assets and economies worldwide. The bloodshed would follow after a day or two of collective stunned silence, and lines at closed banks. And, once again, the world would learn from history, that we don't learn from history. Never in the history of the world has an unsound currency survived, though some have lasted longer than others. The unconstitutional faux dough we use in the U.S. today, has been with us for less than a century.
"Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men's protection and the base of a moral existence. Destroyers seize gold and leave to its owners a counterfeit pile of paper. This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values. Gold was an objective value, an equivalent of wealth produced. Paper is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by a gun aimed at those who are expected to produce it. Paper is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account which is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims. Watch for the day when it bounces, marked, 'Account overdrawn.'" - Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged
It really doesn't matter which side of the fence one is on in regard to U.S. participation in the Middle East. One thing has become painfully obvious. The fighting isn't as much against the coalition as the killing has been internal and sectarian in nature. Islam blowing up Islam. Can the U.S. sit around Iraq indefinitely and referee this fight between Shi'a and Sunni? We can all answer a resounding no. Could a little more time spent as referee result in self-determination and stability for the people of Iraq, and thereby the whole western world? Possibly, but the odds don't look so hot. It's so sad for the decent everyday Iraqi citizen.
But as of July 24, 07 it looks as though the troop reinforcements are having a very positive effect, as well as the average Iraqi and even low level Al Kaida operatives, are ratting out terrorists becuase they are simply sick and tired of all the blood shed.
Interestingly, now that suicide bombings are more often directed against themselves, Middle East Muslims are less in favor of this type of warfare.
But even 13% of U.S. Muslims approve of suicide bombing civilians.
It is becoming increasingly obvious what will happen in any vacuum left by the pull-out of coalition referees, from the middle east theatre, in the near future. The war between Islamic factions will result in an unprecedented reduction in global oil. Iraq, Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia account for about 40% of global exports. Oil supply is the first target in warfare. In the middle east case it will not be as much to reduce fuel for military assets, as to eliminate the adversary's ability to finance their war machine through sales of crude oil. On the other hand, if Islamic fundamentalists gain control without war, they will be more than happy to shut of oil exports, even at the expense of their income, to further global chaos. A climate of chaos and bloodshed is how the fundamentalists expect their Mahdi, or Messiah, is to be ushered in.
Even a 20 or 30% reduction in global crude oil supplies at this time will result in the collapse of, and end of, the world economy, as we have known it. The depression of 1929-1939 will look like a walk in the park by comparison. The situation of the U.S. in the middle east, is what it is. U.S. pull-out equals global economic depression. Continued U.S. lingering there offers a slim chance at a free and self-determining Iraq.
Even more sadly, we can't save our own bacon with U.S. energy production, with the left still lobbying against nuclear energy, as well as drilling in the gulf, or ANWR, with the U.S. at large crying NIMBY regarding increasing refining capacity.
SO-CALLED HATE CRIME BILL
There is a bill that passed the house that will eventually regulate what Americans can say and think. Young people, you have been had by "the man" again. Similar legislation in Australia and Canada has resulted in the imprisonment of pastors for teaching from the Holy Bible. The impact here in the U.S. will be profound. This legislation will effectively promote any kind of speech against a majority, but eliminate free speech against a minority. In other words, the body of law created by this bill will morph into Christians being silenced, and Islam being given an unlimited self-promotional platform.
Here is how it's done. The regulated speech laws require that all Christians shut up about their religion in all public and work places, because no where in the bible does it prescribe specific prayer and such. (indeed more like the opposite: Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.)
Employers and schools are ordered to provide prayer rooms, and allow time off for Muslims, because prayer 5 times a day is mandated by the Koran.
Even atheists and homosexuals should be on the side of the Church, and against this bill. While they may not care for outspoken Christians, once Muslims take control of a country atheists are not be allowed to be atheists - at least not without paying a jizya tax for the right to believe as they wish. And GLBT folks will have to run back into the closet or face fatal punishment. This isn't about my opinion. Look at the freedoms allowed these groups in the 55 (and growing) Islam controlled countries around the world.
ELECTION 2006 - AMERICANS VOTED TO BRING THE WAR HOME
At this link is an excellent video in a few outspoken Arabs own words, which may provide cause for a little hope. In that video they are referring to things like the Palestinian training of children for Jihad as this video clip discusses. Meanwhile the world turns a blind eye as more Afghanis become addicted to opium, and use the proceeds to finance terrorism.
It should also provide a warning to Americans of the cost of allowing a billionaire
puppet master like George Soros to operate a U.S. political party (thanks to John McCain / Feingold), therethrough politicizing formerly free speech, environmental, political and non-political.
Last November Americans voted to bring the war against Islamic fundamentalism back home, and to let the Middle East develop into a multi-state terrorist training camp, funded by the collective oil sales of a Shiite consolidated Iran and Iraq, then likely taking Kuwait through the vacuum created by coalition pull-out. Saudi Arabia could go along to get along, or go to war with them over Kuwait.
On January 28, CNN aired a report titled "The War Within?" regarding Islam in England. Christiana Amanpour interviewed a cleric who stated flatly that Sharia law will be the law of the land in England, and indicated it will be so whether they submitted willingly or whether it had to be imposed by bloody force. It is all simply a matter of time. He said: "anyone who does not stand in our way, will live". When asked if he meant the Sharia law where they stone adulterers and cut off hands for theft, he indicated yes without a moment's hesitation. It's a shame she didn't ask about female circumcision, or FGM (female genital mutilation).
The vast majority of the world has yet to understand that Islamic fundamentalists are at war against every non-Muslim, and will not be satisfied until Sharia law is the law of the land in every country on earth, with non-Muslims being killed or enslaved, or paying the jizya, or "humiliation tax", of the submitted/slaves. The non-violent Muslims will continue to be silent regarding the violent Muslims, because Islam requires it of them since they also believe the world should be ruled by Islamic law.
(update 1-24-07) While still offering no Middle East solutions, Democrats voted for a non-binding resolution objecting to Bush's call for troop reinforcements. While the resolution is of no practical value, that doesn't mean it will be of no effect. It does allow signers the opportunity to demonstrate their solidarity with our enemy, and their willingness to turn the Iraqi people, as well as America's future, over to terrorists, in exchange for what they perceive to be a few political points. Or perhaps it's just their humble expression of thanks to Al Quaeda.
From ABC news.com: "Al Qaeda has sent a message to leaders of the Democratic party that credit for the defeat of congressional Republicans belongs to the terrorists. In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today (12-22-06), Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats. The first is that you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen - the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq - are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News...."
"Get out, but leave your heavy weapons behind as war booty. 'Insurgents offer U.S. 30-day truce for withdrawal,' from Associated Press"
Bush seems to be in the surrender mode himself, as he is about to appoint Zalmay Khalilzad - a Sunni Muslim - to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. As a Muslim, Khalilzad must necessarily place Islamic Sharia law and interests ahead of the United States Constitution and U.S. interests, because that is what Islam demands of him, otherwise he would be considered an apostate - an infidel. Additionally, oaths and contracts between Muslims and infidels are considered to be non-binding .... on Muslims, lying in the way of Allah being acceptable in the Islamic faith.
This even as the U.N. is about to eliminate everyone in the world's ability to speak out about Islam. You should find this article shocking. Excerpt:
"The resolution [that passed], which was opposed by European and a number of other non-Muslim countries, 'expresses deep concern at attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations.'
It makes no mention of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism or any other religion besides Islam, but urges countries 'to take resolute action to prohibit the dissemination of racist and xenophobic ideas and material aimed at any religion or its followers that constitute incitement and religious hatred, hostility, or violence.'" There goes free speech .... in regard to Islam.
By March '07 the dems apparently believe that in November Americans also voted to guarantee Al-Kaida a date certain for U.S. withdrawl from Iraq. Not a surprise I suppose with puppet master George Soros, and the global elite families, at the strings of the democrat party, and the left.
TROOP REDEPLOYMENT
I was saddened to learn that the Shiite government had been inhibiting our boys from going into certain areas of Iraq, and had been generally calling the shots, which allowed terrorists safe haven in some neighborhoods. It would seem that the Shiites were simply biding time until our departure. Since our access has improved the violence seems to have been markedly reduced. Iraqi awareness that America is tiring of being the police may be helping to encourage them to shoulder more responsibility for their destiny.
If there were to be any troop "redeployment" is there a reasonable solution? Perhaps we can look to scripture:
Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
The above verse seems like a pretty apt description of a nuke. The Israelis are the only people in the area who share our Western values, as well as our God Yahweh. Additionally Arabs that live in Israel enjoy more freedom than Arabs do in any Arabic country in the region. Excellent link: There are none like the Jews.
So whose side do we want to take? It would be a shame to turn out the average Iraqi at this point, but they have had considerable time to take responsibility for their own security. Of late our role has been reduced to playing referee between two factions of antichrist. Perhaps we gave it our best shot. Any redeployment should consist of the movement of all of our assets and our troops to Israel. Then we can sit back and let the Muslims work it out between themselves until one of them tires. The world would have to prepare for a 40% reduction in global oil exports whether the Arabs choose to make peace or war against each other. Meanwhile perhaps we should let the Arabs fight it out until one side gets tired.
Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast who is able to make war with him?
Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.
2008 DREAM TICKET
ALAN KEYES FOR PRESIDENT - RON PAUL - VP
Running on abolution of the 20th century Marxist income tax, in favor of a return to constitutional taxes as set up by our forefathers, supplemented by a consumption tax, like a national sales tax.
Keyes already demonstrated his ability to get over 20% of the primary vote in several state primaries, back in 2000. The only reason his momentum ebbed for a time, was McCain entering the race. Conservatives then switched from Keyes to Bush because they did not want an abortion advocate on the ticket. As soon as McCain dropped out, Keyes went right back up to the 20% mark. The only candidate in U.S, history to qualify for gov. matching campaign funds, then loose enough votes to loose them, then gain enough of a percentage of primary votes back again, to qualify again for matching funds. These guys could win in this field even running late, and even running with a fraction of the money spent by those in the rest of the field.
NEW MAJORITY STILL PRETENDING TO BE UNCOMMITTED TO A POSITION
Now that the new majority is in power, it shouldn't be a surprise that the party that ran with absolutely no answers toward solutions to our war against Islamic fundamentalism, are governing without answers as well. Just like during the campaigns, while they have no ideas, the one thing they and their complicit media minions are united on, is obstruction. Otherwise their party position is solely about an exit. While largely united, they don't express their desires to cut and run as a party, because they don't want to be blamed for the chaos and global financial collapse that will result from the vacuum left after a coalition pull-out. By Nov. 15th, David Kucinich had already announced a recommendation for immediate and total defunding for the war in Iraq.
We have found one position expressed. Muslim freshman congressman Keith Ellison called the cops on his office next door neighbor congressman Tom Tancredo, for smoking a cigar in his office. Never mind that it is perfectly legal for Tancredo to have done so, or that Ellison never said a peep to him before calling the cops. But then how is one going to start imposing Sharia law if you don't begin by first taking the position of alpha dog?
THE HUMAN COST OF WAR
To help put American soldier losses into perspective, as of election day, there were fewer American soldiers killed in the Middle East theatre, over the combined 5 years of our post 9-11-01 involvement, than innocent American civilians that were targeted and killed by Islamic fundamentalists in the World Trade Center attack alone.
Compared to average daily traffic fatalities in the U.S. (average 117 per day according to Car and Driver), or the even greater average number of people murdered daily, here at home, both are lower than the average number of soldiers downed per day in Iraq. I thank God for each and every one of these fallen brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and safety here at home. It is interesting to consider that the odds of the same soldier's survival, as an unarmed citizen on many U.S. city streets, would have been far lower than in a hot zone in Iraq.
Even as the government of Iraq has gained strength and ever-more responsibility for its own security, through three highly successful elections, predictably, less than a week after the election here at home, the headlines repeatedly described the Democrat will to begin a relatively immediate exit from Iraq, apparently without caring a whit as to what will happen to the Iraqi people as a result.
WINNING THE WAR
More and more conservatives are joining a new camp in declaring that the coalition forces are not "winning" the war. Glenn Beck recently announced that he is in this pop new camp of apparently bored conservatives. One can only presume that there has been a profound misunderstanding by some, of the nature of the enemy. The enemy against which we fight is evil, the likes of which has existed since Cain slew Able. Who would argue that terrorist targeting and killing of innocent civilians is not evil? Does anyone really expect this activity to be brought to an end militarily?
Revelation 13:4 ... Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? ...
Militarily speaking the war against Islamic fundamentalism can only be fought - but not likely won. Even 1300 years ago during Mohammed's lifetime, his army engaged in 66 battles, twenty seven of which he led personally. Islam doesn't get much more fundamental than that. Even if the enemy were only a tiny fraction of the 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, their numbers would be legion. The only winning will, necessarily, come through winning the hearts of our enemies for Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
For anyone that wonders what a life in Jesus Christ is about, a great book to start with is "Bruchko" by Bruce Olson. Bruce was 19 years old, virtually untrained in missions, bought a one-way ticket to Venezuela and walked into the jungles, eventually evangelizing almost the entirety of the various groups of indigenous jungle peoples of Venezuela and Columbia - beginning with the most dangerous tribe. If you have been lied to, and presented a negative view of Christian missions by a university teacher/atheist or such, this book will be an eye-opener. My #1 reading recommendation for all - regardless of your present walk. When I checked, Amazon had used copies from $3.00.
An excerpt from "Who is This Allah?" by G.J.O. Moshay - "Apart from the fact that Jesus' teachings contradict Mohammed's Quran, Christ could not be said to have a religion in the real sense of the word, nor did He come to establish one. What he brought is redemption and reconciliation - bringing to those who will accept Him a Father-children relationship to God. He did not come to prescribe a uniform system of worship. When a man is in the right relationship with God, he will have the freedom to worship Him and express himself in the best way he can. Religion is an attempt by man to save himself; redemption is God's way to save man: God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). That is God operating there, not man."
It is a shame that so much of the world was satisfied to sit on the sidelines and watch the U.S. and the coalition forces do the heavy lifting, but the entire world will reap the whirlwind that will befall us all, from their reluctance to become involved.

Soldiers in the frontline of the war advancing Islamic fundamentalism, and subsequent imposition of Sharia law, here at home and globally:
Senator Boxer gives award to CAIR extremist
Feds obstruct Oklahoma City bombing investigation of links to Islamic fundamentalists
Pro Islam feminists on campus who would seem to be looking forward to female circumcision for their daughters.
The U.S. media, of course, ever so willing to help along any anti-American, and anti-traditional American values, cause. For example substitution of the term "insurgents" as their PC substitute for "Islamic fundamentalists".
Pope bows toward Mecca - Encouraging Muslims to remain on their path won't help save them. Pope kisses the Koran. I suppose next we are to expect the Imams to bow before the Cross at the Vatican?
Were I not convinced that we are on the verge of Jesus Christ's return, I would see only two other ways this scenario could play out. The first would be an ongoing war against Islamic fundamentalism - that is continuing as it has - perhaps with even more global participation. The second would be for the world to submit to Islamic fundamentalists and eventually wind up in the same condition as Taliban run Afghanistan prior to the U.S. clean-up there. Or Kuwait where women can't vote, or Saudi Arabia where they can't drive cars, or Iran where women are locked in their houses by their husbands and need "exit permits" before leaving. But these states look like bastions of freedom today, compared to what will happen when even more radical Islam takes the reigns.
Simply consider female circumcision that goes on in much of the Islamic world, including England. Can we really believe the United States is exempt?
"For the first time ever, there is a criminal case in the United States stemming from Female Genital Mutilation - the practice of "circumcising" a female infant or toddler." ...
"Adem, currently out on bond, is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children under Georgia law, both of which have the component of malicious intent. 'There is no malicious intent if you are from a practicing community,'"
Even here in the U.S. Bush is about to appoint Zalmay Khalilzad, a Sunni Muslim, to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. As a Muslim Khalilzad must necessarily place Islamic law ahead of the United States constitution, as that is what his religion demands. If he makes a claim that he can put our Constitution ahead of Islam, then Islam would consider him an infidel.
Mat 7:17-18 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
In the 55 countries ruled by the iron fist of Islam, democracy cannot exist, because rule is necessarily by Islamic Sharia law. In countries where Muslims don't totally dominate yet, they will put up with democracy for as long as it takes to replace it with Sharia law. Islamization of the rest of the world through violence has been progressing, with England and much of Europe beginning to bend to demands for Islamic parliaments, which will ultimately result in the imposition of Sharia law. The English government was recently asked to consider sanctioning the cutting off of hands, as punishment for theft.
From 1985 to 1990 Muslims erected 5,002 mosques in Ethiopia alone. In 1945 only one mosque existed in England but today: "Overall, it is estimated that there are over 2,000 mosques and Islamic centers throughout the UK catering for Britain's some 1.8 [million] Muslim population". More people in England attend mosques than the Church of England. In 1974 there was only one mosque in France, but by the end of 2003 more than 1554 had been built. Rome houses the largest mosque in Europe.
Here in the U.S. mosques number about 1290, 62% of which have been built since 1980. Increasingly universities are bribed or intimidated into installing Islamic centers. Saudi Arabia spends over 10 billion dollars a year, in the U.S. alone, toward this end. "American Muslims who 'strongly agree' that they should participate in American institutions and the political process: 70 percent". A Muslim - Keith Ellison - was elected to congress, to shouts of "Allah Akbar" (Allah is greatest) at his victory celebration (to mainstream media relative unreporting). Those of us that were treated to the extremely underreported audio, likely got chills up and down our spine. Good luck finding audio of this now.
His constituents should not be surprised in his interest in being sworn in on the Koran. Muslims must put Islamic Sharia law above all other law, including U.S. law, and he must put Islamic interests above the interests of America and our Constitution. But surely he informed his constituents of that when he was campaigning. Perhaps he just assumed that they knew that any Muslim that didn't put Sharia law first, would be considered an infidel.
Islam can only ultimately succeed by censoring Christianity. As Islam grows, Christianity and Judaism are gradually demonized as "hate speech" - aka The Holy Bible - is banned, as in the Canadian example. At the same time laws are enacted to treat as criminal anyone who questions the Koran, or Islam, or its origins, or even quotes from the Koran. This trend is increasing within the laws of Australia, much of Europe, and Canada, for example. Free speech and truth, is something that cannot be afforded by Islam.
"In Malaysia since 1981 the Bible or "al-Kitab' has been banned in the Malay language. The reason: Because it has in it the word "Allah" as well as some other words that have Islamic origin. There is now a law in that country, in which Islam claims only 50% of the population, that henceforth, no religion other than Islam may use certain words including 'Allah', 'faith' and 'belief' in its literature." from "Who is This Allah?" by G.J.O. Moshay
Does one have to wonder who the author of a law to outlaw the Bible might be? When we find that beheading is the routine - prescribed by the Quran - punishment for being a Christian, or particularly a Muslim convert to Christianity, in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Indonesia and many other countries, the future of a country that submits to Islam is clear.
Today the two military options for the West are, 1) fight, or 2) loose, since winning may not appear on the immediate horizon. We can pray that the Internet will help guide many to a fuller understanding of their beliefs, in the light of truth. The reason the military has been stuck with its job is because false eschatological doctrine in the Church blinded it to the importance of Islam in prophecy.
Revelation 13:4-5 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
In regard to Al-Kaida, should we have stopped Hitler earlier, or not at all?
LOOSING THE WAR
The effects of a lack of U.S. resolve, and subsequent Middle East vacuum in the wake of our departure, should be relatively predictable and immediate. The Shiites in Iran and Iraq would have little trouble consolidating economic power in terms of controlling oil sales and distribution. Their uniting could constitute a metaphorical drying up of the Euphrates river mentioned in scripture, as the border would be effectively erased.
It's important to note that the folks that will be left in control will not be the vast majority of ordinary citizens that have been grateful for our helping to implement a fragile democracy there, and voted in tremendous numbers (80%), but rather those whom have considered America to be the "great Satan in the West" for decades.
In the wake of Western powers departure, no matter what then next happens in the Middle East theater, the world will have no greater interest in going back in, than they did in going back into Vietnam. That vacuum resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of Vietnamese, and shortly thereafter millions murdered by Pol Pot in Cambodia. Western absence would likely result in the murder of hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions, completing Sadam's cleansing of the Kurds and maybe putting the Iraqi Sunnis next on the list. To help matters along, on November 13, '06, Iran announced a closer working relationship with Al-Kaida.
In an Iran-Iraq consolidation Kuwait would be absorbed without a shot being fired. The cleansing in the Middle East would leave only the most radical and base element in charge. Conditions would universally look like those the Islamic fundamentalists had imposed in Afghanistan under Sharia law, prior to our intervention there. Additionally, even as things stand today, there has been considerable concern over the government of Syria being toppled and taken over by terrorists.
It is interesting to note that dirt poor Afghanistan provided a fertile enough terrorist training environment, with a little Saudi money kicked in, to result in the production of enough evil to successfully accomplish the World Trade Center attack. Now imagine how effective a training camp a united Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Syria would be, with the oil wealth they have at their disposal. Another bail-out of Kuwait would be a laughable proposition indeed, in the aftermath of a U.S. pull-out.
Saudi national Islamic fundamentalists have been chomping at the bit to take the reigns of that country, from the monarchy, for years. The Saudi "Wahabi" Islam sect is the most radical in Islam, and they currently fund Islamic centers in the U.S. to the tune of over 10 billion annually. With the present Christian beheading government, that the U.S. sadly supports, the Saudis are likely the largest terrorism financial backer in the world. So if we include this monarchy taken over by some, even more radical that those in power today, we have a united Iran, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in control of the lion's share of global oil. Is there any doubt that if required, China would not hesitate to trade nuclear ICBMs and fissionable materials, for oil, to keep their engine of growth running?
So where would the U.S. be left with the flow of oil from the Middle East regulated by terrorists, combined with a democrat congress primed to sink the republican bill for offshore drilling, let alone even talk of ANWR drilling?
When the Middle East shuts off the flow of oil to the U.S., cheered on and joined by Chavez in Venezuela, every segment of our economy will collapse, taking down the global banking system. Perhaps then they can buy our real estate out of bankruptcy on the courthouse steps for a penny on the dollar in gold, as well as what's left of our - then limited - oil starved farm production, with oil.
Update 1-12-07 - Chavez to meet with a leader of Iran tomorrow. Hero's welcome expected in Venezuela. Perhaps I got the order above a little wrong.
CHOP SHOPS FOR UNBORN CHILDREN
A majority of voters November '06 also decided to turn abortion clinics into chop shops of unborn children, to harvest tissue and body parts for experimentation.
MAJORITY SELFISHNESS AND GREED
Predictably, in an effort to mask their own selfishness and greed, the majority party immediately followed in the footsteps of their own Woodrow Wilson who imposed our first income tax less than 100 years ago, picked up the torch and pitchfork, and set out to demonize the so-called "rich", with their next plan to strip what they have, and redistribute it to others. Representative Davie Crockett spoke to this subject well. Just like their failed "luxury tax" their efforts will dry up investment capital and unemployment will mushroom as a result, turning our currently fragile and debt laden but strong economy, toward recession. The only workable solution to our public overspending is for government to spend less, not increase Marxist taxes more.
Clearly this is a result of the majority party's failure to understand that Marxist redistribution of a person's wealth to help the poor should be a voluntary personal matter between that person and their Creator. Statistically we find that the majority party has difficulty with this concept. Michelle Malkin http://michellemalkin.com (imbedded in Iraq as I write) has a charity index (source) of red vs blue states on her site. Is it a surprise that Mississippi, perhaps the poorest, but also the most Christian state, is the most generous?
![]() The majority has been the party of Marxist redistribution of wealth for nearly a century. Exchanging the constitutional taxes that would have prevented our skewed balance of trade from happening, for taxes that allow the government to force it's way into every aspect of our personal business. Each and every income earning American is enslaved as a result, because if you fail to file your taxes you are sent to prison. Our forefathers are rolling over in their graves.
U.N. INCOME TAX
Whether they understand it or not, in November Americans also voted to support the democrat agenda for a direct income tax to be imposed on U.S. citizens, by the U.N.
CONGRESSIONAL ETHICS (TRULY AN OXYMORON)
Another bonus of the election announced within the first week was democrat "ethics" witch hunts, where we can count on the collaborative "mainstream" liberal media high profile front page accusations, with eventual low profile back page retractions, but only after destroying men and their families through lies and innuendo. This even as the dems own ethics and complicit media allow them to consider seating Alcee Hastings, a judge impeached for corruption and bribery - with Pelosi, early on, favoring John Murtha, an Abscam "unindicted co-conspirator" for majority leader, with Sandy (national archives) Burgular as advisor.
COMPLICIT MEDIA
Is it really any surprise that we still have government by the media? By one count the 3 major networks averaged 3 out of 5 favorable stories for the Democrats and 1 out of 8 favorable stories for Republicans. Some in the far left credit Murtha, in part, for their win. Had he been republican is there any doubt that each time his name was mentioned it would have included "Abscam unindicted co-conspirator" as a middle name? In the first week post-election the individual democrat scandals that the media kept the lids on pre-election, began to be reported. Could the TV and the mainstream media be part of what is referred to in the book of Revelation as "lying wonders"?
Last November Americans voted to kill free speech. The following from the ACLJ (Posted here on 1-17-07). "Under the House version of the Bill, a church or organization would be considered a 'grassroots lobbying firm' subject to this law if the group attempted to influence the general public to voluntarily contact federal officials in order to express their own views on a federal issue."
(1-29-07) That portion of this bill was killed a little while back, but it would seem that congressional lawmakers are tired of having to answer to - let alone represent - those pesky constituents.
BI-PARTISANSHIP
I am pretty confident that we can expect the kind of mainstream-media-unreported "bi-partisanship" of pre 1994, when the democrat majority in committee locked out the republican minority, crafted the back room wheeling and dealing into the bills in secret, and then presented them to the lockstep democrat congress, entirely excluding the minority from the process.
At the end of the day there is one thing we can count on. America will receive the governance that she richly deserves. A government that is the result of voters being so lazy that most don't even look at the voting records of the liars that pretend to be centrists, and run to the right, until the ballots have been counted, then govern to the far left.
ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE END?
I would despair in regard to the evil about to reign down on the world, but Christians recognize that God is in control of it all. As far as returning America to its pre 9-11 status of being the theater of operations in the war against Islamic fundamentalism, for a Christian, to die is gain. Additionally it is important to bear in mind that the rise of the Islamic second Jihad, in the image of the first Jihad, is part of the final fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
Congratulations American voter. You have helped set the final stage. For anyone that does not already have a relationship with their Creator, may I suggest that you take a close look at the condition of your heart, because the time is truly at hand.
![]() As this House of Representatives chart shows (anchor), prior to 1994 Democrats held overwhelming control of the House for nearly the entirety of the prior 60 years beginning in 1933. In fact THE FEW tiny portions of Republican control since 1933 have included extremely narrow majorities by comparison.
![]() During the 60 years prior to 1994 Democrats also held nearly complete, and usually overwhelming, majority control of the senate, with the exception of 6 years under Reagan during which the Senate Republicans had to contend with a huge and obstructionist Democrat majority in the House.
THE FAT CAT PARTY
Report from Center for Responsive Politics reported in the Washington Times: "'Republicans raised more than Democrats from individuals who contributed small and medium amounts of money during the 2002 election cycle,' the report notes, 'but Democrats far outpaced Republicans among deep-pocketed givers.' Among donors who gave more than $200 but less than $1,000, Republicans enjoyed a substantial $68 million to $44 million edge over Democrats. The margin was closer among those individuals who gave $1,000 or more: The GOP took in $317 million, compared to the Democrats' $307 million.
But among the fabulously wealthy, the Democrats cleaned house. Donors of $10,000 or more gave $140 million to Democrats, while only $111 million went to Republicans. Among those individuals who gave $100,000 or more, the Democrats raised $72 million compared to the Republicans' $34 million. And when it comes to the millionaires' club - those kicking in $1 million or more - the Democratic Party skunked the GOP, $36 million to $3 million. Needless to say, despite the near-parity in overall amounts - $384 million to the Republicans vs. $350 million to the Democrats - the number of individual donors to the GOP exceeded those to the Democratic Party by more than 40 percent." Has it furthered racial harmony to sacrifice our at-one-time "melting pot", on the alter of multi-culturalism? Here's a good article by Bob Parks. College students, you may want to book him to speak at your school.
While some politicians/citizens talk a good game of wishing the government would give away more of other peoples money, where do they come down when it comes to giving away their own money? How do charitable donations stack up by state on the generosity index? What "color" are the states?
BARACK OBAMA
What do the Democrat frontrunners for '08 look like? Well they have Barack Obama, one of a few radicals that voted against a ban on live birth abortion. That is, in favor of killing a baby that is accidentally born live in the process of abortion. Pam Stenzel is one such survivor of a "botched" abortion.
HILLARY CLINTON
Then there's Hillary Clinton who promises to return with "Hillary Care", or socialized State-run medicine. Last time around her program was going to provide fines of up to $50,000 and prison sentences, for physicians "caught" treating patients privately - that is outside of the government socialized medical system. Hillary care was likely the primary reason for the Republican sweep of Congress in 1994.
JOHN EDWARDS
And now we will be treated to a rerun of the ambulance chasing lawyer John Edwards and his "two Americas". The best description of his two Americas might be - those he's sued, and those he hasn't sued yet. This by Charles Hurt:
"One of the most successful personal-injury lawyers in North Carolina history, Mr. Edwards won dozens of lawsuits against doctors and hospitals across the state that he now represents in the Senate. He won more than 50 cases with verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more, according to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, and 31 of those were medical-malpractice suits.
During his 20 years of suing doctors and hospitals, he pioneered the art of blaming psychiatrists for patients who commit suicide and blaming doctors for delivering babies with cerebral palsy, according to doctors, fellow lawyers and legal observers who followed Mr. Edwards' career in North Carolina.
The John Edwards we know crushed [obstetrics, gynecology] and neurosurgery in North Carolina," said Dr. Craig VanDerVeer, a Charlotte neurosurgeon. "As a result, thousands of patients lost their health care."
One of us? By Lowell Ponte: "During 20 years playing doctor as a trial lawyer, Edwards was involved in 63 cases and secured more than $152 million in verdicts and settlements, pocketing a third or more of that money himself and amassing a fortune of as much as $70 million."
ARE REPUBLICANS THE ANSWER?
Profligate spending is certainly something that both parties share. Based on the unprincipled sell-out of Bush's judicial nominees by the Republican party to the Democrat minority, and along with Republicans unwillingness to discredit a RINO (definition: republican in name only) like Olympia Snowe, or a liberal like McCain, the Republican party is destined to go the way of the whig party. While the democrats historically unprecedented abuse of the filibuster was a matter of conspicuous malfeasance, the republicans caved in anyway, rather than simply making a Senate rule change regarding filibuster abuse in the case of judicial nominees. This even while some of Bush's appointments were stalled for 6 years.
Hopefully republicans will not enjoy the bulk of the evangelical vote that they received in the '04 election going forward. Their unwillingness to restrain spending (biggest spenders in our history and, according to the GAO, increasing all previously accumulated future spending obligation by 43% in a single year) as well as allowing Democrats to run judicial nominations, should hopefully be the final nails in the coffin which was previously being nailed shut with past blunders such as McCain style and sponsored campaign finance so-called "reform" and the subsequent proliferation of 501(c)(4)s. They deserve to have the pro-democrat, pro-abortion likes of McCain on the ticket for president in 2008 taking them down in a landslide. It is time for a party of principle like The Constitution Party to take their place.
Liberals, progressives and neo-cons believe that if a man doesn't have a fish, it's the government's job to confiscate somebody else's fish and give it to him, after bureaucracy feasts on half of it. Conservatives believe that if a man doesn't have a fish, it's the job of his neighbors to teach him how to fish.
Or as Ronnie Reagan described assaults on private property rights: "a program that takes for the needy and gives to the greedy,"
Regarding war in general what is humanity's responsibility? Turn the other cheek? What is government's responsibility, particularly when not all citizens are Christians for whom "to die is gain"?
Turning the other cheek certainly explains Gandhi's success. But then who were the righteous in that event? The British or the Indians? It would seem their incursion became repugnant to the civilized British, and their consciences ultimately helped them understand their error.
Then would the world have been better off if it had sat and turned the other cheek and waited for Hitler to complete the gassing of the Jews, and then the blacks, and then the intellectuals, and then ..... each next group that he found to be lacking as regards their physical or intellectual compatibility with the Aryan race? Or would it perhaps have been better for the world if he had been stopped much sooner than he was?
Was there a big distinction between Hitler gassing Jews in the concentration camps and Saddam's gassing the Kurds - men, women and children? Should we have let Saddam gas and take over Kuwait and then gas and take over Saudi Arabia and then gas and ta.......? Was it civilized humanity's job to stop him? "The Anfal meant killing all the men – and the women and the property are yours to keep. But it came to a point where they couldn't even do all of that. They just started killing everyone in groups…men, children, women, elderly…and sometimes not even killing, just burying them alive. That was the Anfal."
Certainly regime change should have been accomplished in gulf war one, and little doubt would have been, with purely NATO rather than the evil of U.N. involvement. Christians have the following to consider: Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Is turning a blind eye, while our brothers and sisters are oppressed and killed, our commission?
What can we conclude about Iran and their soon-to-be, absent destructive interdiction, nuclear capability and hatred toward Israel, let alone the West? Does Iran's own people even care for their government?
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke
If verses quoted from the Bible above and below make you squeamish, perhaps you have never had a chance to consider the mathematical perfection of prophecy in scripture. Different things speak to different people.
Gen 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation [Israel], and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
I added this section to my site once I heard the absurd notion that we should engage in a spontaneous and immediate pull-out of Iraq (now months ago). Predictably the left wing (mainstream) press would choose to lionize the buffoonery of retired military personnel who are uninvolved in the conflict, to best feed their anti-Bush and by extension necessarily anti-war propaganda, rather than reporting from on the ground in the theatre interviewing officers and soldiers and the Iraqi people, that are directly involved in the conflict.
As much as the State Department would like to whistle past it, the war in the Middle East is a religious war. Perhaps God placed us in Iraq to evangelize the Muslims as the hour of Jesus return is near. This should have been being done throughout the 20th century but the Church has been awash in false eschatological doctrine, and thereby failed to fully understand its commission. Winning Muslim's hearts is the only way this conflict can be resolved, and indeed the only way they will find national happiness. Jesus coming into their hearts is the only way to cure their hatred. I know that many Iraqis are impressed beyond understanding as to why American soldiers would put themselves in harm's way, in order to bring freedom and self-determination of a people that have never known it, because of the oppression of Islam. It is certainly not hard for them see that in spite of the tremendous transfer of Western wealth to their countries from oil purchase, their people still live in little better than third world conditions, while their leaders live in palaces and squander their national wealth on weapons and war and armies/police to enforce their oppression on their own people.
There is a special dynamic to consider in regard to our involvement in this particular conflict that the media and our government will continue to pretend does not exist. All other conflicts in memory have had pretty discernable forces of good and evil. In more recent history they have been forces of antichrist communists that have demonstrated their conspicuous evil, such as Pol Pot, who took advantage of the vacuum that was created in the region by the cowardly retreat of the U.S. from Viet Nam. In the more distant past, WWII and Adolph Hitler speak volumes for forces of evil.
In the particular case of Iraq, though, we find ourselves with the unenviable task of refereeing conflict between several separate factions, that are ALL antichrist. As we learned even the government that we helped build, and continue to support, in Afghanistan, has made Christianity illegal and punishment for apostasy, or turning away from Islam is of course according to Quran, beheading. Our other "friends" in the region, like the Saudis, behead any national that is discovered to be Christian as well. It is clear that the only way that we can expect resolution in the area of any lasting nature is to evangelize the peoples and bring them to Christ. I am confident that the more they witness the fruit of their religion, and its roots, the more likely they will be to seek out the truth. Mat 7:17-18 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
The Middle East, like the former Soviet Union, and so many other countries around the world demonstrate clearly what happens to a country/society when Yahweh/Jesus is left out of the equation. In the U.S. we increasingly see the fruit of removing Jesus Christ from our equation as the straight-jackets of Everson of 1947 and McCollum of 1948 continue to remove Christianity from the public square. Not surprisingly Russia and China came out against U.N. sanctions being placed on Iran for nuclear weapons production. This is of course because they are predominantly antichrist, and also mutually dependent on trade. The U.S. can talk the talk but we don't trade with Iran anyway, EXCEPT for consuming oil in general. Regardless of which Middle East country we buy oil from it indirectly supports Iran's sales. Is each American willing to make a few small adjustments in order to consume less oil to hurt Iran? It would appear at this time that this is not likely. This empowerment of evil forces is the stuff of the demographics of "Babylon the Great", or the global economic system via the "ten horn" CFR/Club of Rome, and it's operator. The transfer of created Western wealth to the Middle East has been healing the head of this beast by financing the second Jihad, healing Islam's mortal wound suffered at the hands of Charles "Martel" (the hammer) in Tours, France, effectively ending the first Jihad.
It is easy to understand concern regarding our presence in Iraq, in our continuing effort to install natural and human rights in a place that has never recognized them, and never will as an antichrist society. Simply consider the trillions of dollars in Western wealth that has been transferred there simply by virtue of geographical happenstance, that is location of oil - and what all of that wealth has done for the people of the Islamic oil wealthy countries. Their wages are shockingly low and they live in quite primitive conditions when compared to even the least of Western standards, in spite of the trillions of dollars they have received through this oil windfall, without needing to lift a finger to create even a nickel's worth of wealth.
If all of the people in the area were antichrist we could simply sit back and leave it to the Lord while we here in the West focused on alternate energy production and domestic oil reserves and reducing consumption,. However, one group in the area that shares our values (at least our traditional values), and our God Yahweh, and votes with us at the U.N. more consistently than any other country on earth, is Israel.
JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN RELATIONSHIP
God returned His people to their land in these end times - to His favorite place on earth - even in non-belief - just as He promised in so much prophecy, EXACT to the year, on schedules that Daniel and John's math cross confirm, that were drafted over 2,500 and 1,900 years ago respectively! As a Gentile "wild branch" grafted into their tree I partake in the fatness and the root of it with them, including the inheritance of the everlasting land covenants. The Lord Himself gave at least some of the Jews the "spirit of slumber", eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, after the Cross and unto the day that Paul was writing Romans Chapter 11. Far be it from me to question God's reasons as to why. Additionally: Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Many Christians like to point the finger while piously quoting scripture saying the Jews will all go to hell because they don't have the Son, without understanding that the Lamb was slain from the foundations of the world. Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Even Adam and Eve would seem to have been caught in a catch 22 since their judgment was impaired by the fact that they didn't yet have enough knowledge.
The Old Testament Jews were born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, just like Christians are today. In John Chapter 3 we see Jesus Himself chiding Nicodemus for being a Master of Israel but not knowing what the term being "born again" meant. This was BEFORE THE CROSS. Do a word search here for the word - spirit - and you will see there is no doubt that Old Testament Jews were filled with the Holy Spirit. So how were they not saved by the Lamb?
However, since the fulness of the Gentiles came in 1967, and I believe God is opening the Jews eyes to Jesus being the Messiah. He is joining the stick of Judah with the stick of Ephraim as one in His hand. This is a beautiful passage in scripture Ezekel 37. Please visit Timeless Covenant for more on this subject.
WESTERN PULL-OUT
Regarding a spontaneous pull-out by the West from the Middle East theatre of operations, of this much I can assure you. You had better get right with Christ, because this will likely herald the beginning of the "end of all things". In the absence of international powers inhibiting Israel's neighbors from developing nuclear arms, and from moving against her, the Israelis will have no choice but to subdue their neighbors. It is doubtful that the Israelis would, or should, entertain much of an interest in a ground war, so their defense would most likely necessarily include tactical nuclear devices and other weapons, which are described in detail in several prophetic Old and New Testament verses in Scripture, as the substance of this future Battle.
Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (underlining mine) Some believe this verse simply describes starvation, but it is worded rather interestingly - "while they stand upon their feet". Simply click on the verse for study in context as it is war related, and it certainly seems to describe quite specifically and eloquently what physically happens to a person standing close to a nuclear blast.
This battle of battles will in turn herald the return of Jesus Christ for His judgment of all of the people of the earth. Of this much I can also assure you; this battle WILL HAPPEN through what ever chain of events, and it will happen on God's timetable, and I personally believe it will happen before this generation passes. Events and the perfect mathematics that confirm the timetable - of history written in advance through Bible prophecy - appear to be developing right on God's schedule, and right before our eyes. Joel 3:2 says, "I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land"
Perhaps the coalition forces are today simply a finger in a dyke stemming the inevitable tide of the Battle of Armageddon, to perfect the timing that has been planned for this event since before the earth was formed. Jesus wants desperately to save as many people as will come to Him, before judgment. Here is a Muslim on Jews and Jerusalem.
I hope and pray that, at least by the end of the year, any U.S. presence in Iraq will be out of Iraqi sight, perhaps in the desert in a stand-by position, in case the Iraqis have trouble with their neighbors, or organized terrorist thugs, as well as to maintain presence for the defense of Israel. I would very much like to see a 100% Iraqi presence in policing, and an absence of any U.S. visual presence, in the lives of the average work-a-day Iraqi man-on-the-street - soon. The great big thank yous expressed by the Kurds are heartwarming. [End update]
Iraqi police/peace keepers are paid about $60 per month, and often have trouble when it comes to collecting even that. The obvious first step toward our exit would be for the U.S./coalition/U.N. to directly pay each Iraqi peace keeper individually and in an amount that would encourage enlistment. Each Iraqi would cost only a fraction of what each of our troops cost and for every trained Iraqi enlisted we could bring one U.S. soldier home. Certainly the prospects of receiving decent pay, a free education, and being able to retire at the age of 40 is appealing to more than a few of our own troops, and far less would be sufficient for an Iraqi soldier/policeman. The Iraqis could eventually offer the higher pay, as well as benefits, to their fighting men in our place from their oil income. Money can be a powerful incentive for troops, as well as maintenance for their morale, as long as they are confident that the folks at home support their efforts, that is, specifically what they are doing. Is it really a bad thing to help give the Iraqi people freedom and self-determination - perhapos to loose - if that is what they eventually wind up doing with it? Does anyone believe that we injured Japan by imposing their constitution on them?
Interesting to note that reluctant former coalition partners France, Germany, and Russia were up to their eyeballs in the oil for food scandal. Later we found that the same three designed and built an Iranian uranium enrichment plant in hardened underground bunkers that are virtually attack proof.
I agree with our forefathers in that the U.S. should avoid foreign entanglements, however, they did not intend that when a declaration of war (jihad) is lodged against us, and we are repeatedly aggressed against, we should ignore the aggressor and allow them to have their way with us. There are certain facts regarding our involvement in the Middle East that cannot be ignored:
