"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence. From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance, from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back into bondage." - Professor Joseph Olson

"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." -  James Madison
Why do so many mistakenly confuse our representative Republic with a democracy?

This will nationalize abortion and nullify virtually all federal and state limitations on abortion, bringing back partial birth abortion. The blood will be on the hands of those who voted for any democrat as the term "pro-life" and "democrat" have become evermore oxymoronic, with only about 28 pro-life democrats remaining in congress as of 2004, with none in positions of power.

Recently I heard that the #1 concern expressed by potential U.S. voters is the economy. Seven years ago our economy was put on it's knees in an hour, by Islamic fundamentalists. So how on earth can concern about our economy, be more important than our national security concerns? Our economy is ABSOLUTELY DEPENDENT on our national security, and how we continue to defend ourselves against Islamic fundamentalism. Try a YouTube search like (click on links): islam jihad or global jihad or visit the religion of peace who have logged well over 11,000 deadly Islamic terror attacks around the world just since 9-11. Visit terrorism awareness. It should become painfully obvious that this Islamic second jihad isn't about Israel or Zionism. It is GLOBAL in scope.
If you haven't yet bothered to look into this, your new number one concern will likely change, if you do bother. Has the U.S. electorate completely lost it's ability to think critically? John McCain was correct in his unpopular support for troop reinforcements. As a result Iraq has barely been in the news for months. If we had followed Baraak Obama's cut-and-run strategy, Iraq would be in a state of civil war, and her neighbors working it from both sides. What would happen to the global economy without oil, if the economy is really a concern of voters?
So this election is supposed to be about change? Change what? The change already came on 9-11 just 7 years ago. The entire world was changed into the foreseeable future. The U.S. has been doing it's best to adapt to this change in spite of the liberal, and now historically unprecedented unpopular, democrat controlled congress. The change has also been, and will continue to be, costly. After the knockdown punch on 9-11 the administration and the Fed did what they could to revive a stunned United States, and if any voter takes an honest look back to what they were thinking on 9-11 they might see how some economic dislocation could be expected.
11-10-08 Whether war supporters or war detractors NOBODY seems to remember why we went back into Iraq. It wasn't about weapons of mass destruction, though everyone knew Saddam had them and had killed a hundred and eighty or so thousand Kurds at Anfal with them, so there was great concern that he could use them when we resumed hostilities. The simple fact is that Gulf War I NEVER ENDED. We agreed to a cessation of hostilities based on Sadam Hussein's promise to comply with the U.N. resolutions that were a requirement of that cessation of hostilities. It was Colin Powell that killed the victory, that Shwartzkoff wanted to complete, that would have settled the matter long ago. Because of Powell's sellout of the U.S. Saddam felt he didn't need to comply. Our return was simply a resumption of the previously suspended hostilities resulting from Saddam Hussein's non-compliance and Colin Powell's tragic error. Simple stuff, but lost in the street, like most all truth today. This isn't ancient history, yet everybody seems to have forgotten.*
Obama seems only to be able to talk about what it is costing us to stay in Iraq, with an apparent incapability in understanding what the cost would be if we were to leave pre-maturely, even as we have secured, at least a temporary peace.
Change, change, chaaaeaaaeaaeaaeaange, change of....
Well we haven't had a domestic terror attack since 9-11, so it's time to change that.

It appears we have been successful in winning the freedom and self-determination of the Iraqi people. Time to change that too.
Freedom of speech has served this country for 200 years, but it's time to change that too. Specifically by letting liberals decide, what is hate speech. So far, it appears that hate is any speech that disagrees with theirs. Labeling those that look for sanity in the climate change debate, the equivalent of holocaust deniers, for example. Are they really fooling anybody? We didn't need hate speech laws through the turbulence of the 60's racial tensions etc. etc. etc., but now that our country, economy, and neighborhoods are more interracial and interethnic than ever with folks living in harmony not seen in our modern history, we now need hate speech laws? What these laws have done in other countries is give voice to Islam, while silencing the voices of non-Muslims.

Our government hasn't been confiscating and redistributing enough money so it's time  to change that.

Second quarter GDP came in at a whopping 3.3% increase. Time to change that too.
Change, change, chaaaaaange, change of....

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority  always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public  treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal  policy, always followed by a dictatorship." - Alexander Tyler 1787 - Tyler was a Scottish history professor that  had this to say about 2000 years after "The Fall of the Athenian Republic" and about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution.

In the context of the above, what percentage of the current electorate is in favor of having the government confiscate income from fellow Americans, and having it transferred to themselves to pay for their health care? This has been historically precedented: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." - Karl Marx

Barack Obama's big idea is to confiscate more from each, according to his ability to pay, and transfer the spoils to each, according to his need. He calls this change. Those of us that are a little older than Obama know it as MARXISM. The former Soviet Union should have provided a sufficient example of the result. Obama is the fourth most liberal Senator in Washington. It's easy to sign every bill that calls for more spending. That doesn't even require any thought.

This is the result of the slippery slope of the immorality of income taxation, which we have suffered for less than 100 years in the U.S.. This is why our country was founded on consumption taxes, with freedom for citizens, not imprisonment for simply failing to produce income tax paperwork for the govenment.

In the context of the above, what percentage of the current electorate is in favor of having the government confiscate income from fellow Americans, and having it transferred to themselves to pay for their health care?
This should help to illustrate the slippery slope and immorality of income taxation, which we have suffered for less than 100 years. This is why our country was founded on consumption taxes, with freedom of citizens, not imprisonment for simply failing to produce income tax paperwork for the govenment.

Our illegal immigration problem would be over immediately, if folks who employed illegals, including corporate CEOs and also private household employers of an illegal domestic, were fined $5,000, and sentenced to a 30 days in jail - per infraction - for the FIRST offense.
However before hiring they should be able to access the information given on the Social Security number through a national database or agency designed for that, and receive written confirmation that the employee is legitimate, relieving them of the burden of proof of illegal status.
How many legal immigrants would allow their illegal relative to continue to live on their couch, when there is no prospect whatsoever for employment income, to help support the household living expenses budget?  When they show up at the welfare center, deport them. Most would leave on their own - would have never come - if there were no employment prospects. But it won't happen because the Democrats need their current, and future, fraudulent votes.

Politicians have recently been talking about whether those mean nasty U.S. oil companies would or would not adjust the price of gas, in light of a tax, that is or is not imposed on them, and such.  How can they be so ignorant considering the high offices they occupy or are running for?  The price of gas is set by the GLOBAL buyers and sellers in the commodity market - every day - not at the whim of some U.S. oil company exec sitting with his feet up on a desk. Here is a link to a weekly chart of unleaded gas at the New York Mercantile Exchange.  This price is largely determined by the price of crude, which is bought and sold the same way, and in the same place.
Buyers and sellers include producers, end product wholesales, and speculators. Without the added liquidity that speculators provide the market couldn't function nearly as efficiently as it does. The market works the same for oil, corn, livestock, cocoa, gold, or any other commodity.
Anyone who wants to join in the "profits" of these evil, nasty, greedy speculators, of whom about 80% LOOSE money in the commodity markets, is welcome to risk their retirement money into a contract at the CBOT or CME or New York Merc Exchange, or if money is more limited than the margins required, then an Exchange Traded Fund that tracks the price of oil, like the United States Oil Fund.

Oil companies that retail gas in the U.S. are in extremely close competition. If they weren't you would likely be driving to their competitor's gas pump. Perhaps you already shop for the cheapest. Some stations depend almost solely on profits from beer and Twinkies, with high volume gas at break-even prices, just to get you into their station store.
If the government merely announced approval to drill in ANWR, and offshore like our neighbors do, crude oil prices would begin a precipitous decline, perhaps back to the $10 that they declined to last time such a perception arrived.  What most folks who don't bother to inform themselves don't understand is that the proposed drilling in ANWR would only require a 6 acre footprint. That's likely smaller than your closest neighborhood park.
But the hippies and liberals have won that debate in their effort to transfer U.S. wealth to Hugh Chavez, Iran, Russia and Saudi-Arabia.
But then the liberals may accomplish $10 a barrel oil yet again - but through deflationary depression.

Liberals and hippies prevented drilling ANWR.
Prevented developing offshore oil.
Prevented increasing our nuclear derived power from the measly 20% obtained that way today, with France at 80% for example.
Liberals complain about a non-existent energy policy, that they fought tooth and nail, while stunningly pushing for more electric vehicles, to tax an already fragile electric grid.  All while suggesting that all we have to do is rely on energy sources that are 50 years away from development.
Ted Kennedy and his cronies are fighting against wind energy generation. Expect plenty more of that with one-party control of governement.
Consider the debt clock above. How much of the debt is represented by increased energy expense borne directly by the government, with over half of our working population directly or indirectly in government employ?

One thing is for sure. This November our nation will receive exactly the governance it deserves. The House already passed, and pending Senate approval, is a bill that will criminalize truth as hate speech.  We have already heard voices seeking reason in the environmental debate, characterized as "hate speech" and equivalent to "holocaust denial".

Poor people and the elderly on fixed income can thank the liberals for electricity and gas taking an ever greater share of their already thin disposable income. Next time you are having to choose between medicine and electricity, thank the liberals for skyrocketing energy costs resulting from diminishing domestic production and their backwards, archaic, 1970s styled anti-nuclear buffoons.

Here is a cute little nuclear reactor, the size of an average household water heater, for a remote Alaskan town.
France is much more densely populated than the U.S. yet 80% of their power comes from nuclear reactors compared to 20% in the U.S.

How many more poor and elderly people are we willing to continue to sacrifice on the alter of pseudo science, under the spurious guise of "correcting" climate change?

The caribou love the  Alaska pipeline.

As an aside, nature produces 29 times the CO2 of all fossil fuel burning and forest prescribed burning.  Termites alone, produce 10 times the CO2 of all fossil fuel burning. So  who owns the environmental movement? Is this "environmental movement" simply about mind control?
"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan - A Time For Choosing (in support of Barry Goldwater's presidential bid) (full text).

Obama voted against a ban on "live birth" abortion, or killing a baby after it is born alive and intact.

The democrat party is owned by billionaire fat cats like multi-billionaire George Soros. That's why Obama turned down federal matching campaign funds. So that the Soros left could continue to own the party.

That Obama believes that people turn to religion because they are bitter, should not be a surprise, considering where he attended church for the last 20 years.  How can we judge Jerimiah Wright's "message"?
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Mat 7:17-18  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Make no mistake.  Global political gamesmanship would be rendered trite, and in a moment, if Iran simply decided it was time to create the global chaos and bloodshed that Islamic fundamentalists believe is necessary to usher in their Mahdi, or Messiah.  They could accomplish this by simply demanding payment for oil, in gold.  The little boy would then be pointing to the phony paper currency emperors worldwide and shouting "The emperors have no clothes!"  This would cause an immediate collapse in banking, currencies, assets and economies worldwide.  The bloodshed would follow after a day or two of collective stunned silence, and lines at closed banks.  And, once again, the world would learn from history, that we don't learn from history.  Never in the history of the world has an unsound currency survived, though some have lasted longer than others.  The unconstitutional faux dough we use in the U.S. today, has been with us for less than a century.

"Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men's protection and the base of a moral existence.  Destroyers seize gold and leave to its owners a counterfeit pile of paper. This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values. Gold was an objective value, an equivalent of wealth produced. Paper is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by a gun aimed at those who are expected to produce it. Paper is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account which is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims. Watch for the day when it bounces, marked, 'Account overdrawn.'" - Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged

It really doesn't matter which side of the fence one is on in regard to U.S. participation in the Middle East.  One thing has become painfully obvious.  The fighting isn't as much against the coalition as the killing has been internal and sectarian in nature.  Islam blowing up Islam.  Can the U.S. sit around Iraq indefinitely and referee this fight between Shi'a and Sunni?  We can all answer a resounding no.  Could a little more time spent as referee result in self-determination and stability for the people of Iraq, and thereby the whole western world?  Possibly, but  the odds don't look so hot.  It's so sad for the decent everyday Iraqi citizen.

But as of July 24, 07 it looks as though the troop reinforcements are having a very positive effect, as well as the average Iraqi and even low level Al Kaida operatives, are ratting out terrorists becuase they are simply sick and tired of all the blood shed.
Interestingly, now that suicide bombings are more often directed against themselves, Middle East Muslims are less in favor of this type of warfare.
But even 13% of U.S. Muslims approve of suicide bombing civilians.

It is becoming increasingly obvious what will happen in any vacuum left by the pull-out of coalition referees, from the middle east theatre, in the near future.  The war between Islamic factions will result in an unprecedented reduction in global oil.  Iraq, Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia account for about 40% of global exports.   Oil supply is the first target in warfare.  In the middle east case it will not be as much to reduce fuel for military assets, as to eliminate the adversary's ability to finance their war machine through sales of crude oil.  On the other hand, if Islamic fundamentalists gain control without war, they will be more than happy to shut of oil exports, even at the expense of their income, to further global chaos.  A climate of chaos and bloodshed is how the fundamentalists expect their Mahdi, or Messiah, is to be ushered in.

Even a 20 or 30% reduction in global crude oil supplies at this time will result in the collapse of, and end of, the world economy, as we have known it.  The depression of 1929-1939 will look like a walk in the park by comparison.  The situation of the U.S. in the middle east, is what it is.  U.S. pull-out equals global economic depression.  Continued U.S. lingering there offers a slim chance at a free and self-determining Iraq.

Even more sadly, we can't save our own bacon with U.S. energy production, with the left still lobbying against nuclear energy, as well as drilling in the gulf, or ANWR, with the U.S. at large crying NIMBY regarding increasing refining capacity.

There is a bill that passed the house that will eventually regulate what Americans can say and think.  Young people, you have been had by "the man" again.  Similar legislation in Australia and Canada has resulted in the imprisonment of pastors for teaching from the Holy Bible.  The impact here in the U.S. will be profound.  This legislation will effectively promote any kind of speech against a majority, but eliminate free speech against a minority.  In other words, the body of law created by this bill will morph into Christians being silenced, and Islam being given an unlimited self-promotional platform.

Here is how it's done.  The regulated speech laws require that all Christians shut up about their religion in all public and work places, because no where in the bible does it prescribe specific prayer and such.  (indeed more like the opposite:  Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.)
Employers and schools are ordered to provide prayer rooms, and allow time off for Muslims, because prayer 5 times a day is mandated by the Koran.

Even atheists and homosexuals should be on the side of the Church, and against this bill.   While they may not care for outspoken Christians, once Muslims take control of a country atheists are not be allowed to be atheists - at least not without paying a jizya tax for the right to believe as they wish.  And GLBT folks will have to run back into the closet or face fatal punishment.  This isn't about my opinion.  Look at the freedoms allowed these groups in the 55 (and growing) Islam controlled countries around the world.

At this link is an excellent video in a few outspoken Arabs own words, which may provide cause for a little hope.  In that video they are referring to things like the Palestinian training of children for Jihad as this video clip discusses.  Meanwhile the world turns a blind eye as more Afghanis become addicted to opium, and use the proceeds to finance terrorism.

It should also provide a warning to Americans of the cost of allowing a billionaire
puppet master like George Soros to operate a U.S. political party (thanks to John McCain / Feingold), therethrough politicizing formerly free speech, environmental, political and non-political.

Last November Americans voted to bring the war against Islamic fundamentalism back home, and to let the Middle East develop into a multi-state terrorist training camp, funded by the collective oil sales of a Shiite consolidated Iran and Iraq, then likely taking Kuwait through the vacuum created by coalition pull-out.  Saudi Arabia could go along to get along, or go to war with them over Kuwait.

On January 28, CNN aired a report titled "The War Within?" regarding Islam in England.  Christiana Amanpour interviewed a cleric who stated flatly that Sharia law will be the law of the land in England, and indicated it will be so whether they submitted willingly or whether it had to be imposed by bloody force.  It is all simply a matter of time.  He said:  "anyone who does not stand in our way, will live".  When asked if he meant the Sharia law where they stone adulterers and cut off hands for theft, he indicated yes without a moment's hesitation.  It's a shame she didn't ask about female circumcision, or FGM (female genital mutilation).

The vast majority of the world has yet to understand that Islamic fundamentalists are at war against every non-Muslim, and will not be satisfied until Sharia law is the law of the land in every country on earth, with non-Muslims being killed or enslaved, or paying the jizya, or "humiliation tax", of the submitted/slaves.  The non-violent Muslims will continue to be silent regarding the violent Muslims, because Islam requires it of them since they also believe the world should be ruled by Islamic law.

(update 1-24-07)  While still offering no Middle East solutions, Democrats voted for a non-binding resolution objecting to Bush's call for troop reinforcements.  While the resolution is of no practical value, that doesn't mean it will be of no effect.   It does allow signers the opportunity to demonstrate their solidarity with our enemy, and their willingness to turn the Iraqi people, as well as America's future, over to terrorists, in exchange for what they perceive to be a few political points.  Or perhaps it's just their humble expression of thanks to Al Quaeda.

From ABC  "Al Qaeda has sent a message to leaders of the Democratic party that credit for the defeat of congressional Republicans belongs to the terrorists.  In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today (12-22-06), Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.  The first is that you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen - the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq - are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News...."

"Get out, but leave your heavy weapons behind as war booty. 'Insurgents offer U.S. 30-day truce for withdrawal,' from Associated Press"

Bush seems to be in the surrender mode himself, as he is about to appoint Zalmay Khalilzad - a Sunni Muslim - to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.  As a Muslim, Khalilzad must necessarily place Islamic Sharia law and interests ahead of the United States Constitution and U.S. interests, because that is what Islam demands of him, otherwise he would be considered an apostate - an infidel.  Additionally, oaths and contracts between Muslims and infidels are considered to be non-binding .... on Muslims, lying in the way of Allah being acceptable in the Islamic faith.

This even as the U.N. is about to eliminate everyone in the world's ability to speak out about Islam.  You should find this article shocking.  Excerpt:

"The resolution [that passed], which was opposed by European and a number of other non-Muslim countries, 'expresses deep concern at attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations.'

It makes no mention of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism or any other religion besides Islam, but urges countries 'to take resolute action to prohibit the dissemination of racist and xenophobic ideas and material aimed at any religion or its followers that constitute incitement and religious hatred, hostility, or violence.'" There goes free speech .... in regard to Islam.

By March '07 the dems apparently believe that in November Americans also voted to guarantee Al-Kaida a date certain for U.S. withdrawl from Iraq.  Not a surprise I suppose with puppet master George Soros, and the global elite families, at the strings of the democrat party, and the left.

I was saddened to learn that the Shiite government had been inhibiting our boys from going into certain areas of Iraq, and had been generally calling the shots, which allowed terrorists safe haven in some neighborhoods.  It would seem that the Shiites were simply biding time until our departure.   Since our access has improved the violence seems to have been markedly reduced.  Iraqi awareness that America is tiring of being the police may be helping to encourage them to shoulder more responsibility for their destiny.

If there were to be any troop "redeployment" is there a reasonable solution?  Perhaps we can look to scripture:
Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

The above verse seems like a pretty apt description of a nuke.  The Israelis are the only people in the area who share our Western values, as well as our God Yahweh.  Additionally Arabs that live in Israel enjoy more freedom than Arabs do in any Arabic country in the region.  Excellent link: There are none like the Jews.

So whose side do we want to take?  It would be a shame to turn out the average Iraqi at this point, but they have had considerable time to take responsibility for their own security.  Of late our role has been reduced to playing referee between two factions of antichrist.  Perhaps we gave it our best shot.  Any redeployment should consist of the movement of all of our assets and our troops to Israel. Then we can sit back and let the Muslims work it out between themselves until one of them tires.  The world would have to prepare for a 40% reduction in global oil exports whether the Arabs choose to make peace or war against each other.  Meanwhile perhaps we should let the Arabs fight it out until one side gets tired.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

Running on abolution of the 20th century Marxist income tax, in favor of a return to constitutional taxes as set up by our forefathers, supplemented by a consumption tax, like a national sales tax.

Keyes already demonstrated his ability to get over 20% of the primary vote in several state primaries, back in 2000.  The only reason his momentum ebbed for a time, was McCain entering the race.  Conservatives then switched from Keyes to Bush because they did not want an abortion advocate on the ticket.  As soon as McCain dropped out, Keyes went right back up to the 20% mark.  The only candidate in U.S, history to qualify for gov. matching campaign funds, then loose enough votes to loose them, then gain enough of a percentage of primary votes back again, to qualify again for matching funds.  These guys could win in this field even running late, and even running with a fraction of the money spent by those in the rest of the field.

Now that the new majority is in power, it shouldn't be a surprise that the party that ran with absolutely no answers toward solutions to our war against Islamic fundamentalism, are governing without answers as well.  Just like during the campaigns, while they have no ideas, the one thing they and their complicit media minions are united on, is obstruction.  Otherwise their party position is solely about an exit.  While largely united, they don't express their desires to cut and run as a party, because they don't want to be blamed for the chaos and global financial collapse that will result from the vacuum left after a coalition pull-out.  By Nov. 15th, David Kucinich had already announced a recommendation for immediate and total defunding for the war in Iraq.

We have found one position expressed.  Muslim freshman congressman Keith Ellison called the cops on his office next door neighbor congressman Tom Tancredo, for smoking a cigar in his office.  Never mind that it is perfectly legal for Tancredo to have done so, or that Ellison never said a peep to him before calling the cops.  But then how is one going to start imposing Sharia law if you don't begin by first taking the position of alpha dog?

To help put American soldier losses into perspective, as of election day, there were fewer American soldiers killed in the Middle East theatre, over the combined 5 years of our post 9-11-01 involvement, than innocent American civilians that were targeted and killed by Islamic fundamentalists in the World Trade Center attack alone.

Compared to average daily traffic fatalities in the U.S. (average 117 per day according to Car and Driver), or the even greater average number of people murdered daily, here at home, both are lower than the average number of soldiers downed per day in Iraq.  I thank God for each and every one of these fallen brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and safety here at home.  It is interesting to consider that the odds of the same soldier's survival, as an unarmed citizen on many U.S. city streets, would have been far lower than in a hot zone in Iraq.

Even as the government of Iraq has gained strength and ever-more responsibility for its own security, through three highly successful elections, predictably, less than a week after the election here at home, the headlines repeatedly described the Democrat will to begin a relatively immediate exit from Iraq, apparently without caring a whit as to what will happen to the Iraqi people as a result.

More and more conservatives are joining a new camp in declaring that the coalition forces are not "winning" the war.  Glenn Beck recently announced that he is in this pop new camp of apparently bored conservatives.  One can only presume that there has been a profound misunderstanding by some, of the nature of the enemy.  The enemy against which we fight is evil, the likes of which has existed since Cain slew Able.  Who would argue that terrorist targeting and killing of innocent civilians is not evil?  Does anyone really expect this activity to be brought to an end militarily?
Revelation 13:4 ... Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? ...

Militarily speaking the war against Islamic fundamentalism can only be fought - but not likely won.  Even 1300 years ago during Mohammed's lifetime, his army engaged in 66 battles, twenty seven of which he led personally.  Islam doesn't get much more fundamental than that.  Even if the enemy were only a tiny fraction of the 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, their numbers would be legion.  The only winning will, necessarily, come through winning the hearts of our enemies for Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

For anyone that wonders what a life in Jesus Christ is about, a great book to start with is "Bruchko" by Bruce Olson.  Bruce was 19 years old, virtually untrained in missions, bought a one-way ticket to Venezuela and walked into the jungles, eventually evangelizing almost the entirety of the various groups of indigenous jungle peoples of Venezuela and Columbia - beginning with the most dangerous tribe.  If you have been lied to, and presented a negative view of Christian missions by a university teacher/atheist or such, this book will be an eye-opener.  My #1 reading recommendation for all - regardless of your present walk.  When I checked, Amazon had used copies from $3.00.

An excerpt from "Who is This Allah?" by G.J.O. Moshay - "Apart from the fact that Jesus' teachings contradict Mohammed's Quran, Christ could not be said to have a religion in the real sense of the word, nor did He come to establish one.  What he brought is redemption and reconciliation - bringing to those who will accept Him a Father-children relationship to God.  He did not come to prescribe a uniform system of worship.  When a man is in the right relationship with God, he will have the freedom to worship Him and express himself in the best way he can.  Religion is an attempt by man to save himself; redemption is God's way to save man: God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself (2 Corinthians 5:19).  That is God operating there, not man."

It is a shame that so much of the world was satisfied to sit on the sidelines and watch the U.S. and the coalition forces do the heavy lifting, but the entire world will reap the whirlwind that will befall us all, from their reluctance to become involved.

Soldiers in the frontline of the war advancing Islamic fundamentalism, and subsequent imposition of Sharia law, here at home and globally:
Senator Boxer gives award to CAIR extremist
Feds obstruct Oklahoma City bombing investigation of links to Islamic fundamentalists
Pro Islam feminists on campus who would seem to be looking forward to female circumcision for their daughters.
The U.S. media, of course, ever so willing to help along any anti-American, and anti-traditional American values, cause.  For example substitution of the term "insurgents" as their PC substitute for "Islamic fundamentalists".
Pope bows toward Mecca - Encouraging Muslims to remain on their path won't help save them.  Pope kisses the Koran.  I suppose next we are to expect the Imams to bow before the Cross at the Vatican?

Were I not convinced that we are on the verge of Jesus Christ's return, I would see only two other ways this scenario could play out.  The first would be an ongoing war against Islamic fundamentalism - that is continuing as it has - perhaps with even more global participation.  The second would be for the world to submit to Islamic fundamentalists and eventually wind up in the same condition as Taliban run Afghanistan prior to the U.S. clean-up there.  Or Kuwait where women can't vote, or Saudi Arabia where they can't drive cars, or Iran where women are locked in their houses by their husbands and need "exit permits" before leaving.  But these states look like bastions of freedom today, compared to what will happen when even more radical Islam takes the reigns.

Simply consider female circumcision that goes on in much of the Islamic world, including England.  Can we really believe the United States is exempt?
"For the first time ever, there is a criminal case in the United States stemming from Female Genital Mutilation - the practice of "circumcising" a female infant or toddler." ...
"Adem, currently out on bond, is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children under Georgia law, both of which have the component of malicious intent. 'There is no malicious intent if you are from a practicing community,'"

Even here in the U.S. Bush is about to appoint Zalmay Khalilzad, a Sunni Muslim, to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.  As a Muslim Khalilzad must necessarily place Islamic law ahead of the United States constitution, as that is what his religion demands.  If he makes a claim that he can put our Constitution ahead of Islam, then Islam would consider him an infidel.

Mat 7:17-18  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

In the 55 countries ruled by the iron fist of Islam, democracy cannot exist, because rule is necessarily by Islamic Sharia law.  In countries where Muslims don't totally dominate yet, they will put up with democracy for as long as it takes to replace it with Sharia law.  Islamization of the rest of the world through violence has been progressing, with England and much of Europe beginning to bend to demands for Islamic parliaments, which will ultimately result in the imposition of Sharia law.  The English government was recently asked to consider sanctioning the cutting off of hands, as punishment for theft.

From 1985 to 1990 Muslims erected 5,002 mosques in Ethiopia alone.  In 1945 only one mosque existed in England but today:  "Overall, it is estimated that there are over 2,000 mosques and Islamic centers throughout the UK catering for Britain's some 1.8 [million] Muslim population".  More people in England attend mosques than the Church of England.  In 1974 there was only one mosque in France, but by the end of 2003 more than 1554 had been built.  Rome houses the largest mosque in Europe.

Here in the U.S. mosques number about 1290, 62% of which have been built since 1980.  Increasingly universities are bribed or intimidated into installing Islamic centers.  Saudi Arabia spends over 10 billion dollars a year, in the U.S. alone, toward this end.  "American Muslims who 'strongly agree' that they should participate in American institutions and the political process: 70 percent".  A Muslim - Keith Ellison - was elected to congress, to shouts of "Allah Akbar" (Allah is greatest) at his victory celebration (to mainstream media relative unreporting).  Those of us that were treated to the extremely underreported audio, likely got chills up and down our spine.  Good luck finding audio of this now.

His constituents should not be surprised in his interest in being sworn in on the Koran.  Muslims must put Islamic Sharia law above all other law, including U.S. law, and he must put Islamic interests above the interests of America and our Constitution.  But surely he informed his constituents of that when he was campaigning.  Perhaps he just assumed that they knew that any Muslim that didn't put Sharia law first, would be considered an infidel.

Islam can only ultimately succeed by censoring Christianity.  As Islam grows, Christianity and Judaism are gradually demonized as "hate speech" - aka The Holy Bible - is banned, as in the Canadian example.  At the same time laws are enacted to treat as criminal anyone who questions the Koran, or Islam, or its origins, or even quotes from the Koran.  This trend is increasing within the laws of Australia, much of Europe, and Canada, for example.  Free speech and truth, is something that cannot be afforded by Islam.

"In Malaysia since 1981 the Bible or "al-Kitab' has been banned in the Malay language.  The reason:  Because it has in it the word "Allah" as well as some other words that have Islamic origin.  There is now a law in that country, in which Islam claims only 50% of the population, that henceforth, no religion other than Islam may use certain words including 'Allah', 'faith' and 'belief' in its literature." from "Who is This Allah?" by G.J.O. Moshay
Does one have to wonder who the author of a law to outlaw the Bible might be?  When we find that beheading is the routine - prescribed by the Quran - punishment for being a Christian, or particularly a Muslim convert to Christianity, in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Indonesia and many other countries, the future of a country that submits to Islam is clear.

Today the two military options for the West are, 1) fight, or 2) loose, since winning may not appear on the immediate horizon.  We can pray that the Internet will help guide many to a fuller understanding of their beliefs, in the light of truth.  The reason the military has been stuck with its job is because false eschatological doctrine in the Church blinded it to the importance of Islam in prophecy.

Revelation 13:4-5  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

In regard to Al-Kaida, should we have stopped Hitler earlier, or not at all?

The effects of a lack of U.S. resolve, and subsequent Middle East vacuum in the wake of our departure, should be relatively predictable and immediate.  The Shiites in Iran and Iraq would have little trouble consolidating economic power in terms of controlling oil sales and distribution.  Their uniting could constitute a metaphorical drying up of the Euphrates river mentioned in scripture, as the border would be effectively erased.

It's important to note that the folks that will be left in control will not be the vast majority of ordinary citizens that have been grateful for our helping to implement a fragile democracy there, and voted in tremendous numbers (80%), but rather those whom have considered America to be the "great Satan in the West" for decades.

In the wake of Western powers departure, no matter what then next happens in the Middle East theater, the world will have no greater interest in going back in, than they did in going back into Vietnam.  That vacuum resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of Vietnamese, and shortly thereafter millions murdered by Pol Pot in Cambodia.  Western absence would likely result in the murder of hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions, completing Sadam's cleansing of the Kurds and maybe putting the Iraqi Sunnis next on the list.  To help matters along, on November 13, '06, Iran announced a closer working relationship with Al-Kaida.

In an Iran-Iraq consolidation Kuwait would be absorbed without a shot being fired.  The cleansing in the Middle East would leave only the most radical and base element in charge.  Conditions would universally look like those the Islamic fundamentalists had imposed in Afghanistan under Sharia law, prior to our intervention there.  Additionally, even as things stand today, there has been considerable concern over the government of Syria being toppled and taken over by terrorists.

It is interesting to note that dirt poor Afghanistan provided a fertile enough terrorist training environment, with a little Saudi money kicked in, to result in the production of enough evil to successfully accomplish the World Trade Center attack.  Now imagine how effective a training camp a united Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Syria would be, with the oil wealth they have at their disposal.  Another bail-out of Kuwait would be a laughable proposition indeed, in the aftermath of a U.S. pull-out.

Saudi national Islamic fundamentalists have been chomping at the bit to take the reigns of that country, from the monarchy, for years.  The Saudi "Wahabi" Islam sect is the most radical in Islam, and they currently fund Islamic centers in the U.S. to the tune of over 10 billion annually.  With the present Christian beheading government, that the U.S. sadly supports, the Saudis are likely the largest terrorism financial backer in the world.  So if we include this monarchy taken over by some, even more radical that those in power today, we have a united Iran, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in control of the lion's share of global oil.  Is there any doubt that if required, China would not hesitate to trade nuclear ICBMs and fissionable materials, for oil, to keep their engine of growth running?

So where would the U.S. be left with the flow of oil from the Middle East regulated by terrorists, combined with a democrat congress primed to sink the republican bill for offshore drilling, let alone even talk of ANWR drilling?

When the Middle East shuts off the flow of oil to the U.S., cheered on and joined by Chavez in Venezuela, every segment of our economy will collapse, taking down the global banking system.  Perhaps then they can buy our real estate out of bankruptcy on the courthouse steps for a penny on the dollar in gold, as well as what's left of our - then limited - oil starved farm production, with oil.
Update 1-12-07 - Chavez to meet with a leader of Iran tomorrow.  Hero's welcome expected in Venezuela.  Perhaps I got the order above a little wrong.

A majority of voters November '06 also decided to turn abortion clinics into chop shops of unborn children, to harvest tissue and body parts for experimentation.

Predictably, in an effort to mask their own selfishness and greed, the majority party immediately followed in the footsteps of their own Woodrow Wilson who imposed our first income tax less than 100 years ago, picked up the torch and pitchfork, and set out to demonize the so-called "rich", with their next plan to strip what they have, and redistribute it to others.  Representative Davie Crockett spoke to this subject well.  Just like their failed "luxury tax" their efforts will dry up investment capital and unemployment will mushroom as a result, turning our currently fragile and debt laden but strong economy, toward recession.  The only workable solution to our public overspending is for government to spend less, not increase Marxist taxes more.

Clearly this is a result of the majority party's failure to understand that Marxist redistribution of a person's wealth to help the poor should be a voluntary personal matter between that person and their Creator.  Statistically we find that the majority party has difficulty with this concept.  Michelle Malkin (imbedded in Iraq as I write) has a charity index (source) of red vs blue states on her site.  Is it a surprise that Mississippi, perhaps the poorest, but also the most Christian state, is the most generous?

The majority has been the party of Marxist redistribution of wealth for nearly a century.  Exchanging the constitutional taxes that would have prevented our skewed balance of trade from happening, for taxes that allow the government to force it's way into every aspect of our personal business.  Each and every income earning American is enslaved as a result, because if you fail to file your taxes you are sent to prison.  Our forefathers are rolling over in their graves.

Whether they understand it or not, in November Americans also voted to support the democrat agenda for a direct income tax to be imposed on U.S. citizens, by the U.N.

Another bonus of the election announced within the first week was democrat "ethics" witch hunts, where we can count on the collaborative "mainstream" liberal media high profile front page accusations, with eventual low profile back page retractions, but only after destroying men and their families through lies and innuendo.  This even as the dems own ethics and complicit media allow them to consider seating Alcee Hastings, a judge impeached for corruption and bribery - with Pelosi, early on, favoring John Murtha, an Abscam "unindicted co-conspirator" for majority leader, with Sandy (national archives) Burgular as advisor.

Is it really any surprise that we still have government by the media?  By one count the 3 major networks averaged 3 out of 5 favorable stories for the Democrats and 1 out of 8 favorable stories for Republicans.  Some in the far left credit Murtha, in part, for their win.  Had he been republican is there any doubt that each time his name was mentioned it would have included "Abscam unindicted co-conspirator" as a middle name?  In the first week post-election the individual democrat scandals that the media kept the lids on pre-election, began to be reported.  Could the TV and the mainstream media be part of what is referred to in the book of Revelation as "lying wonders"?

Last November Americans voted to kill free speech.  The following from the ACLJ (Posted here on 1-17-07).  "Under the House version of the Bill, a church or organization would be considered a 'grassroots lobbying firm' subject to this law if the group attempted to influence the general public to voluntarily contact federal officials in order to express their own views on a federal issue."
(1-29-07) That portion of this bill was killed a little while back, but it would seem that congressional lawmakers are tired of having to answer to - let alone represent - those pesky constituents.

I am pretty confident that we can expect the kind of mainstream-media-unreported "bi-partisanship" of pre 1994, when the democrat majority in committee locked out the republican minority, crafted the back room wheeling and dealing into the bills in secret, and then presented them to the lockstep democrat congress, entirely excluding the minority from the process.

At the end of the day there is one thing we can count on.  America will receive the governance that she richly deserves.  A government that is the result of voters being so lazy that most don't even look at the voting records of the liars that pretend to be centrists, and run to the right, until the ballots have been counted, then govern to the far left.
I would despair in regard to the evil about to reign down on the world, but Christians recognize that God is in control of it all.  As far as returning America to its pre 9-11 status of being the theater of operations in the war against Islamic fundamentalism, for a Christian, to die is gain.  Additionally it is important to bear in mind that the rise of the Islamic second Jihad, in the image of the first Jihad, is part of the final fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
Congratulations American voter.  You have helped set the final stage.  For anyone that does not already have a relationship with their Creator, may I suggest that you take a close look at the condition of your heart, because the time is truly at hand.

As this House of Representatives chart shows (anchor), prior to 1994 Democrats held overwhelming control of the House for nearly the entirety of the prior 60 years beginning in 1933.  In fact THE FEW tiny portions of Republican control since 1933 have included extremely narrow majorities by comparison.

Microsoft Excel Worksheet

During the 60 years prior to 1994 Democrats also held nearly complete, and usually overwhelming, majority control of the senate, with the exception of 6 years under Reagan during which the Senate Republicans had to contend with a huge and obstructionist Democrat majority in the House.

Chart Data Provided by the Senate and the House.

Report from Center for Responsive Politics reported in the Washington Times:  "'Republicans raised more than Democrats from individuals who contributed small and medium amounts of money during the 2002 election cycle,' the report notes, 'but Democrats far outpaced Republicans among deep-pocketed givers.' Among donors who gave more than $200 but less than $1,000, Republicans enjoyed a substantial $68 million to $44 million edge over Democrats. The margin was closer among those individuals who gave $1,000 or more: The GOP took in $317 million, compared to the Democrats' $307 million.
But among the fabulously wealthy, the Democrats cleaned house. Donors of $10,000 or more gave $140 million to Democrats, while only $111 million went to Republicans. Among those individuals who gave $100,000 or more, the Democrats raised $72 million compared to the Republicans' $34 million. And when it comes to the millionaires' club - those kicking in $1 million or more - the Democratic Party skunked the GOP, $36 million to $3 million. Needless to say, despite the near-parity in overall amounts - $384 million to the Republicans vs. $350 million to the Democrats - the number of individual donors to the GOP exceeded those to the Democratic Party by more than 40 percent."  Stats from Center for Responsive Politics reported in Dec 18, 2002 Washington Times

Has it furthered racial harmony to sacrifice our at-one-time "melting pot", on the alter of multi-culturalism?  Here's a good article by Bob Parks.  College students, you may want to book him to speak at your school.
While some politicians/citizens talk a good game of wishing the government would give away more of other peoples money, where do they come down when it comes to giving away their own money?   How do charitable donations stack up by state on the generosity index?  What "color" are the states?
What do the Democrat frontrunners for '08 look like?  Well they have Barack Obama, one of a few radicals that voted against a ban on live birth abortion.  That is, in favor of killing a baby that is accidentally born live in the process of abortion.  Pam Stenzel is one such survivor of a "botched" abortion.
Then there's Hillary Clinton who promises to return with "Hillary Care", or socialized State-run medicine.  Last time around her program was going to provide fines of up to $50,000 and prison sentences, for physicians "caught" treating patients privately - that is outside of the government socialized medical system.  Hillary care was likely the primary reason for the Republican sweep of Congress in 1994.
And now we will be treated to a rerun of the ambulance chasing lawyer John Edwards and his "two Americas".  The best description of his two Americas might be - those he's sued, and those he hasn't sued yet.  This by Charles Hurt:
"One of the most successful personal-injury lawyers in North Carolina history, Mr. Edwards won dozens of lawsuits against doctors and hospitals across the state that he now represents in the Senate. He won more than 50 cases with verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more, according to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, and 31 of those were medical-malpractice suits.
During his 20 years of suing doctors and hospitals, he pioneered the art of blaming psychiatrists for patients who commit suicide and blaming doctors for delivering babies with cerebral palsy, according to doctors, fellow lawyers and legal observers who followed Mr. Edwards' career in North Carolina.
The John Edwards we know crushed [obstetrics, gynecology] and neurosurgery in North Carolina," said Dr. Craig VanDerVeer, a Charlotte neurosurgeon. "As a result, thousands of patients lost their health care."
One of us?  By Lowell Ponte: "During 20 years playing doctor as a trial lawyer, Edwards was involved in 63 cases and secured more than $152 million in verdicts and settlements, pocketing a third or more of that money himself and amassing a fortune of as much as $70 million."
Profligate spending is certainly something that both parties share.  Based on the unprincipled sell-out of Bush's judicial nominees by the Republican party to the Democrat minority, and along with Republicans unwillingness to discredit a RINO (definition: republican in name only) like Olympia Snowe, or a liberal like McCain, the Republican party is destined to go the way of the whig party.  While the democrats historically unprecedented abuse of the filibuster was a matter of conspicuous malfeasance, the republicans caved in anyway, rather than simply making a Senate rule change regarding filibuster abuse in the case of judicial nominees.  This even while some of Bush's appointments were stalled for 6 years.
Hopefully republicans will not enjoy the bulk of the evangelical vote that they received in the '04 election going forward.  Their unwillingness to restrain spending (biggest spenders in our history and, according to the GAO, increasing all previously accumulated future spending obligation by 43% in a single year) as well as allowing Democrats to run judicial nominations, should hopefully be the final nails in the coffin which was previously being nailed shut with past blunders such as McCain style and sponsored campaign finance so-called "reform" and the subsequent proliferation of 501(c)(4)s.  They deserve to have the pro-democrat, pro-abortion likes of McCain on the ticket for president in 2008 taking them down in a landslide.  It is time for a party of principle like The Constitution Party to take their place.
Liberals, progressives and neo-cons believe that if a man doesn't have a fish, it's the government's job to confiscate somebody else's fish and give it to him, after bureaucracy feasts on half of it.  Conservatives believe that if a man doesn't have a fish, it's the job of his neighbors to teach him how to fish.
Or as Ronnie Reagan described assaults on private property rights: "a program that takes for the needy and gives to the greedy,"
Regarding war in general what is humanity's responsibility?  Turn the other cheek?  What is government's responsibility, particularly when not all citizens are Christians for whom "to die is gain"?
Turning the other cheek certainly explains Gandhi's success.  But then who were the righteous in that event?  The British or the Indians?  It would seem their incursion became repugnant to the civilized British, and their consciences ultimately helped them understand their error.
Then would the world have been better off if it had sat and turned the other cheek and waited for Hitler to complete the gassing of the Jews, and then the blacks, and then the intellectuals, and then ..... each next group that he found to be lacking as regards their physical or intellectual compatibility with the Aryan race?  Or would it perhaps have been better for the world if he had been stopped much sooner than he was?
Was there a big distinction between Hitler gassing Jews in the concentration camps and Saddam's gassing the Kurds - men, women and children?  Should we have let Saddam gas and take over Kuwait and then gas and take over Saudi Arabia and then gas and ta.......?  Was it civilized humanity's job to stop him?  "The Anfal meant killing all the men – and the women and the property are yours to keep. But it came to a point where they couldn't even do all of that. They just started killing everyone in groups…men, children, women, elderly…and sometimes not even killing, just burying them alive. That was the Anfal."
Certainly regime change should have been accomplished in gulf war one, and little doubt would have been, with purely NATO rather than the evil of U.N. involvement.  Christians have the following to consider:  Matthew 22:37-40  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  38  This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Is turning a blind eye, while our brothers and sisters are oppressed and killed, our commission?
What can we conclude about Iran and their soon-to-be, absent destructive interdiction, nuclear capability and hatred toward Israel, let alone the West?  Does Iran's own people even care for their government?
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke
 THE WAR IN IRAQ (anchor)
If verses quoted from the Bible above and below make you squeamish, perhaps you have never had a chance to consider the mathematical perfection of prophecy in scripture.  Different things speak to different people.
Gen 12:2  And I will make of thee a great nation [Israel], and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
John 16:2  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.  3  And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
Zec 12:3  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
I added this section to my site once I heard the absurd notion that we should engage in a spontaneous and immediate pull-out of Iraq (now months ago).  Predictably the left wing (mainstream) press would choose to lionize the buffoonery of retired military personnel who are uninvolved in the conflict, to best feed their anti-Bush and by extension necessarily anti-war propaganda, rather than reporting from on the ground in the theatre interviewing officers and soldiers and the Iraqi people, that are directly involved in the conflict.
As much as the State Department would like to whistle past it, the war in the Middle East is a religious war.  Perhaps God placed us in Iraq to evangelize the Muslims as the hour of Jesus return is near.  This should have been being done throughout the 20th century but the Church has been awash in false eschatological doctrine, and thereby failed to fully understand its commission.  Winning Muslim's hearts is the only way this conflict can be resolved, and indeed the only way they will find national happiness.  Jesus coming into their hearts is the only way to cure their hatred.  I know that many Iraqis are impressed beyond understanding as to why American soldiers would put themselves in harm's way, in order to bring freedom and self-determination of a people that have never known it, because of the oppression of Islam.  It is certainly not hard for them see that in spite of the tremendous transfer of Western wealth to their countries from oil purchase, their people still live in little better than third world conditions, while their leaders live in palaces and squander their national wealth on weapons and war and armies/police to enforce their oppression on their own people.
There is a special dynamic to consider in regard to our involvement in this particular conflict that the media and our government will continue to pretend does not exist.  All other conflicts in memory have had pretty discernable forces of good and evil.  In more recent history they have been forces of antichrist communists that have demonstrated their conspicuous evil, such as Pol Pot, who took advantage of the vacuum that was created in the region by the cowardly retreat of the U.S. from Viet Nam.  In the more distant past, WWII and Adolph Hitler speak volumes for forces of evil.
In the particular case of Iraq, though, we find ourselves with the unenviable task of refereeing conflict between several separate factions, that are ALL antichrist.  As we learned even the government that we helped build, and continue to support, in Afghanistan, has made Christianity illegal and punishment for apostasy, or turning away from Islam is of course according to Quran, beheading.  Our other "friends" in the region, like the Saudis, behead any national that is discovered to be Christian as well.  It is clear that the only way that we can expect resolution in the area of any lasting nature is to evangelize the peoples and bring them to Christ.  I am confident that the more they witness the fruit of their religion, and its roots, the more likely they will be to seek out the truth.    Mat 7:17-18  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
The Middle East, like the former Soviet Union, and so many other countries around the world demonstrate clearly what happens to a country/society when Yahweh/Jesus is left out of the equation.  In the U.S. we increasingly see the fruit of removing Jesus Christ from our equation as the straight-jackets of Everson of 1947 and McCollum of 1948 continue to remove Christianity from the public square.  Not surprisingly Russia and China came out against U.N. sanctions being placed on Iran for nuclear weapons production.  This is of course because they are predominantly antichrist, and also mutually dependent on trade.  The U.S. can talk the talk but we don't trade with Iran anyway, EXCEPT for consuming oil in general.  Regardless of which Middle East country we buy oil from it indirectly supports Iran's sales.  Is each American willing to make a few small adjustments in order to consume less oil to hurt Iran?  It would appear at this time that this is not likely.  This empowerment of evil forces is the stuff of the demographics of "Babylon the Great", or the global economic system via the "ten horn" CFR/Club of Rome, and it's operator.  The transfer of created Western wealth to the Middle East has been healing the head of this beast by financing the second Jihad, healing Islam's mortal wound suffered at the hands of Charles "Martel" (the hammer) in Tours, France, effectively ending the first Jihad.
It is easy to understand concern regarding our presence in Iraq, in our continuing effort to install natural and human rights in a place that has never recognized them, and never will as an antichrist society.  Simply consider the trillions of dollars in Western wealth that has been transferred there simply by virtue of geographical happenstance, that is location of oil - and what all of that wealth has done for the people of the Islamic oil wealthy countries.  Their wages are shockingly low and they live in quite primitive conditions when compared to even the least of Western standards, in spite of the trillions of dollars they have received through this oil windfall, without needing to lift a finger to create even a nickel's worth of wealth.

If all of the people in the area were antichrist we could simply sit back and leave it to the Lord while we here in the West focused on alternate energy production and domestic oil reserves and reducing consumption,.  However, one group in the area that shares our values (at least our traditional values), and our God Yahweh, and votes with us at the U.N. more consistently than any other country on earth, is Israel.

God returned His people to their land in these end times - to His favorite place on earth - even in non-belief - just as He promised in so much prophecy, EXACT to the year, on schedules that Daniel and John's math cross confirm, that were drafted over 2,500 and 1,900 years ago respectively!  As a Gentile "wild branch" grafted into their tree I partake in the fatness and the root of it with them, including the inheritance of the everlasting land covenants.  The Lord Himself gave at least some of the Jews the "spirit of slumber", eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, after the Cross and unto the day that Paul was writing Romans Chapter 11.  Far be it from me to question God's reasons as to why.  Additionally:  Rom 11:28  As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Many Christians like to point the finger while piously quoting scripture saying the Jews will all go to hell because they don't have the Son, without understanding that the Lamb was slain from the foundations of the world.  Rev 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  Even Adam and Eve would seem to have been caught in a catch 22 since their judgment was impaired by the fact that they didn't yet have enough knowledge.

The Old Testament Jews were born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, just like Christians are today.  In John Chapter 3 we see Jesus Himself chiding Nicodemus for being a Master of Israel but not knowing what the term being "born again" meant.  This was BEFORE THE CROSS.  Do a word search here for the word - spirit - and you will see there is no doubt that Old Testament Jews were filled with the Holy Spirit.  So how were they not saved by the Lamb?

However, since the fulness of the Gentiles came in 1967, and I believe God is opening the Jews eyes to Jesus being the Messiah.  He is joining the stick of Judah with the stick of Ephraim as one in His hand.  This is a beautiful passage in scripture  Ezekel 37.  Please visit Timeless Covenant for more on this subject.

Regarding a spontaneous pull-out by the West from the Middle East theatre of operations, of this much I can assure you.  You had better get right with Christ, because this will likely herald the beginning of the "end of all things".  In the absence of international powers inhibiting Israel's neighbors from developing nuclear arms, and from moving against her, the Israelis will have no choice but to subdue their neighbors.  It is doubtful that the Israelis would, or should, entertain much of an interest in a ground war, so their defense would most likely necessarily include tactical nuclear devices and other weapons, which are described in detail in several prophetic Old and New Testament verses in Scripture, as the substance of this future Battle.
Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
Zec 14:12  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (underlining mine)  Some believe this verse simply describes starvation, but it is worded rather interestingly - "while they stand upon their feet".  Simply click on the verse for study in context as it is war related, and it certainly seems to describe quite specifically and eloquently what physically happens to a person standing close to a nuclear blast.

This battle of battles will in turn herald the return of Jesus Christ for His judgment of all of the people of the earth.  Of this much I can also assure you; this battle WILL HAPPEN through what ever chain of events, and it will happen on God's timetable, and I personally believe it will happen before this generation passes.  Events and the perfect mathematics that confirm the timetable - of history written in advance through Bible prophecy - appear to be developing right on God's schedule, and right before our eyes.  Joel 3:2 says, "I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land"
Perhaps the coalition forces are today simply a finger in a dyke stemming the inevitable tide of the Battle of Armageddon, to perfect the timing that has been planned for this event since before the earth was formed.  Jesus wants desperately to save as many people as will come to Him, before judgment.  Here is a Muslim on Jews and Jerusalem.
I hope and pray that, at least by the end of the year, any U.S. presence in Iraq will be out of Iraqi sight, perhaps in the desert in a stand-by position, in case the Iraqis have trouble with their neighbors, or organized terrorist thugs, as well as to maintain presence for the defense of Israel.  I would very much like to see a 100% Iraqi presence in policing, and an absence of any U.S. visual presence, in the lives of the average work-a-day Iraqi man-on-the-street - soon.  The great big thank yous expressed by the Kurds are heartwarming.  [End update]
Iraqi police/peace keepers are paid about $60 per month, and often have trouble when it comes to collecting even that.  The obvious first step toward our exit would be for the U.S./coalition/U.N. to directly pay each Iraqi peace keeper individually and in an amount that would encourage enlistment.  Each Iraqi would cost only a fraction of what each of our troops cost and for every trained Iraqi enlisted we could bring one U.S. soldier home.  Certainly the prospects of receiving decent pay, a free education, and being able to retire at the age of 40 is appealing to more than a few of our own troops, and far less would be sufficient for an Iraqi soldier/policeman.  The Iraqis could eventually offer the higher pay, as well as benefits, to their fighting men in our place from their oil income.  Money can be a powerful incentive for troops, as well as maintenance for their morale, as long as they are confident that the folks at home support their efforts, that is, specifically what they are doing.  Is it really a bad thing to help give the Iraqi people freedom and self-determination - perhapos to loose - if that is what they eventually wind up doing with it?  Does anyone believe that we injured Japan by imposing their constitution on them?
Interesting to note that reluctant former coalition partners France, Germany, and Russia were up to their eyeballs in the oil for food scandal.  Later we found that the same three designed and built an Iranian uranium enrichment plant in hardened underground bunkers that are virtually attack proof.
"Daddy, why are we at war?"
I agree with our forefathers in that the U.S. should avoid foreign entanglements, however, they did not intend that when a declaration of war (jihad) is lodged against us, and we are repeatedly aggressed against, we should ignore the aggressor and allow them to have their way with us.  There are certain facts regarding our involvement in the Middle East that cannot be ignored:
1.  While the politically correct term for the war is a war against "terrorism" it would be difficult indeed to wage war against a description of a method of aggression.  More properly framed we are, of course, involved in a war against the spirit of antichrist and agressive Muslims (possibly more incorrectly called radical Islam, Islamism, Islamists, Islamo-fascists or Islamo-Nazis).
2.  Decades ago radical Moslems made a formal declaration of war, or Jihad, against the U.S..  But then Islam has been at war against Christianity since 13 years after its beginning.  Was this jihad an effort to remove us from someone else's sovereign lands?  Was it because we are global oppressors?  Was it because we seek to conquer foreign lands and claim them as our own?  Was it because we want to impose our various religions on others?  No.
3.  Radical Muslims declared war on us because they object to the way in which we choose to live and worship in our own country.  There is a singular goal of radical Muslims and that is that all citizens of the U.S./world convert to Islam or be killed.  Simple enough.  So there is obviously no way to satisfy the ambitions of these despots through political appeasement.
4.  While radical Muslims do not occupy a single sovereign nation (however they may have been rooted in Egypt), this group of radicals is none-the-less very well organized as has been demonstrated repeatedly by their attacks against us through the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's.  The ever-bolder attacks were left relatively unanswered with the exception of Clinton's blowing up candy and aspirin factories, from afar, in the Sudan.  Had a republican president done that the mainstream media might still be there reporting on it.  Finally the terrorist aggression culminated - so far - in the deaths of 3,000 American civilians in the 9-11 World Trade Center attack, and, having a president with some intestinal fortitude at the time, we answered the call.  The cowardice displayed by Muslim radicals is perhaps unprecedented in the history of world warfare since the SOLE TARGETS are usually civilian non-combatants.  Israeli school children in buses for example.  Absurdly these radicals somehow believe that God approves of, in fact rewards, this behavior.  They are, however, going to find out very differently.
5.  It is obvious that Teddy Kennedy style appeasement will certainly not work unless all U.S. citizens are prepared to become Islamic.  Kennedy's collaboration, with his apparent goal of demoralizing our troops, should be of no surprise however since Teddy was also a collaborator with the Russians during the cold war as we learned when the Russian archives were opened to the U.S. after the Berlin wall came down.  Certainly Spain electing a government of appeasers has not benefited.  France, perhaps the world's most renouned appeasers don't seem to be faring very well against their "teenagers" either.  Not too surprising though since the four levels of the French terror alert have been characterized as - run, hide, surrender, and collaborate.
The U.S. detractors of this war, on the left, include much of the same old group of Soviet appeasers.  Even old Hanoi Jane Fonda is back on board apparently suffering amnesia since her apology for her behavior in Vietnam in which she was directly responsible for the deaths of so many of our young fighting men (we had air supremacy, but Washington called off maintenance bombing of enemy weapons transport and stocking of anti-aircraft sites because, and while, Jane and Tom were in North Vietnam (manning anti-aircraft weaponry for photo ops)), the delay allowing the Vietcong to replace and restock their anti-aircraft positions and once again successfully shoot down our aircraft - (Duncan Hunter - special orders - congressional record).
Young people with heads full of mush will generally simply gravitate toward a crowd on campus and predictably repeat what the loudest student in the group says, without giving it much thought or taking the time to try to learn the facts, so perhaps they can be excused.  I started college in 1968 and witnessed that of which I speak.  Some may have an understandable concern that a draft could be instituted, especially if our media continues their lies and one-sided coverage in their effort to demoralize our troops and subjugate the Iraqi people to the evil and chaos that radical Muslims hope to impose and breed, toward a campaign of further attacks against the U.S. on our own soil in the future, as well as their ongoing efforts to annihilate Israel and the Jewish people.
Members of congress should feel free to complain or make exit suggestions about the war as much as they believe their constituents would want, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.  By publicly calling for an immediate exit or an exit strategy, or schedule, hoping to make political hay in '06 (which I personally believe will backfire miserably for them), these despots are prolonging our stay in Iraq, and emboldening our enemy, thereby being responsible for further killing of our troops.  When the Moslem radicals hear a U.S. public official speak of, much less demand an exit, they know that all they simply need to do is bide their time, and it encourages even more of them to persevere.  The goal of the politicans?  To win votes.  Former leaders of Vietnam admitted in their memoirs that they felt, and were, totally beaten, especially after the Tet Offensive, but were revived by Hanoi Jane and Tom Hayden and knew that these two, in conjunction with the U.S. media/academia/Hollywood elite, had lifted from them from the desperation of loss, to turning the conflict into their victory, as well as Jane perhaps having indirectly facilitated the murder of millions in Cambodia, in the vacuum that followed our exit from the region.
I have also heard detractors suggest that we cannot install a democracy, a republic, or any other form of government that allows the people rights of freedom and self-determination.  While this could be correct in this case because these people are antichrist, it does ignore the success of Japan or western Europe post WWII, and even Bosnia and Afghanistan today.  The simple fact is that people everywhere around the world prefer freedom and the right to self-determination as opposed to oppression.  Those who would choose a dictator or monarchy or oligarchy for example, would simply be expressing that these forms of government would offer their favored minority an opportunity to oppress and subjugate a majority.  Perhaps these forms of government may be preferable to some unfortunate group of citizens current more oppressive regime such as the former Iraqi government, or those that run Iran, Vietnam, North Korea or Cuba for example.  Every human being would obviously vote for freedom and self-determination, and for someone to suggest otherwise would be dishonest.  While the various religious groups or sects in Iraq may present more of a challenge for self-governance there, we have been able to maintain the rights of minorities here in the U.S. "melting pot" through our constitution and our representative republic style of government.  The Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds are working together toward collective self-governance through their new constitution and now elections.  The Kurds are already enjoying the benefits of U.S. military success in their region.  THANK YOU KURDISTAN FOR THANKING AMERICA!
Those with simply a U.S. spending complaint, that want to ignore promotion of our national safety or the successes in installing freedom in Iraq, can relax knowing that the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit passed by congress, with apparent widespread approval of the American people, will spend a multiple of the total bill for the costs of the war in Iraq, in a single year of drug spending, within the decade.
Finally for Christians and Jews that may be tempted to be Anti-Israel, or anti-Zionist, consider this:  Psa 132:13  For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation. 14  This [is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
Gen 12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Some of the net results of the war thus far have been:
1.  The routing out of Moslem radicals from Afghanistan, however installing a government that still beheads Christians within the law.  The 65% turnout to vote in the elections put U.S. elections to shame and demonstrated how extremely grateful the Afghanis were for their new-found freedoms gained at U.S. human and financial expense.  To our own national benefit we captured and killed many of, and gained a better understanding of, our enemy through direct conflict and through confiscated laptop computers etc., and it also rendered Osama Bin Ladin impotent as he appears to have been relegated to his own spider hole.
2.  Iraqi Kurdistan is now a peaceful place that requires less than 200 coalition forces to maintain that peace.  They are presently advertising for tourism and business.  Had it not been for the Kurds spending their own money on advertising Americans would not have any idea that there was any good being done in Iraq because of the failure of our media to simply report the news, rather than to render the daily news to being one giant left-wing, anti-war, anti-Iraq, anti-U.S. troop, anti-U.S. biased editorial, as expressed most fervently in the New York Times - printer of the lies of record - for the rest of mainstream liberal/progressive media/academia's consumption and dissemination.  Here's a link to the Kurdistan website.
3.  Saddam Hussein used to pay $20,000 to the families of successful suicide bombers.  Perhaps he would have paid the unsuccessful (only blew himself up) suicide bomber's family at Oklahoma University.  Saddam also sponsored terrorist training camps within his borders that included the fuselages of jets in which to train.  He expressed ambitions toward further chemical, as well as biological and nuclear weapons which he had already used on his neighbors and fellow countrymen.  Saddam further failed to meet the agreed U.N. obligations imposed as part of the terms of U.S. "cessation of hostilities" from the first Gulf war.  An end to Desert Storm was never declared, and Saddam never complied with his U.N. resolution obligations, and I believe it was an extreme disservice to the national and global community for us to have used a different name when we reentered Iraq the second time, rather than simply announcing an end to the "cessation of hostilities" and a resumption thereof.  Clearly Saddam's poison gas attacks against the Iranians and the Kurds demonstrated his willingness to maintain and employ weapons of mass destruction.  The uranium he had in his possession that we removed in 2003 was obviously not purchased to be used in a nuclear reactor since he had none.  There is every good chance that the weapons of mass destruction, that the whole world was convinced that he had, were spirited out of the country early-on in our second military campaign.
4.  While a broader coalition would have been nice politically (but probably in our way practically and militarily), the 9-11 attack was perpetrated against the U.S., not against Germany or France so it would have been highly inappropriate to have sought their "permission" rather than to resolve our own domestic crisis to the best of our ability.  In the end the "oil-for-food" scandal, as well as Russian, German and French design and construction of the nuclear arms facility in Iran, demonstrate most clearly the reason for German and French reluctance to enter the war, as well as England's favorable response, as they were not involved in the scandal.  Further, entanglement with the U.N. was the primary reason that the first Operation Desert Storm ended short of what should have been a reasonable goal of regime change.
5.  Benefits of the war in Iraq have included the capture or deaths of some 46 out of the original card deck of 52 terrorists that we were hunting as significant enemy combatants.  Further, the Iraqi people have now voted for government officials as well as a new constitution.  Their first election was a stunning success with an over 50% turnout in spite of the fact that husband and wives would vote separately so that if one got blown up at the polls there would be a survivor to raise their kids.  The Sunnis and the Shiites are currently working together toward collective self-governance through their new constitution.  Both sides being antichrist makes a resolution unlikely.
6.  The advantage of fighting the war in Iraq instead of within our borders here at home is obvious.  The ancillary benefit of winning the freedom and self-determination of the Iraqi people makes it especially gratifying to have prosecuted the war against radical Muslims there.  In spite of the continuing horrific attacks against their civilian population by terrorists, are the Iraqis interested in throwing us out?  No.  Do we have a draft that compels our young people to fight this war?  No.  Are we in the middle of a civil war?  No, the Iraqis have already voted.  They have a national understanding.  We are aiding in furthering their goals.  At the same time we are helping the Iraqis shed the same radical elements that are also dangerous to our own way of life, that flow in largely from outside their borders.  We would, and perhaps will, be fighting the same group within our own borders.
Do the Moslem radicals want to install a government in Iraq?  No.  They want to install the same kind of evil despotic chaos that Afghanistan suffered and oppression that Iran continues to suffer.  These are prime breeding grounds for the types of terrorists that took down our World Trade Center.  Our efforts in Iraq are toward some semblance of order, just as has so far been accomplished in Bosnia.  As an aside it is interesting that so many Arab countries are so wealthy and yet so underdeveloped, but maybe freedom will change that as well.
The media has been doing such a radically one-sided job of reporting what is being accomplished in Iraq that Iraqis are having to get the information out by advertising themselves.  I was very moved to have seen this great big thank you to America from Iraqi Kurdistan on TV that you can view on this link.  Do we really want to face the consequences of abandoning these people and by so doing bring the war against terrorism home to the U.S.?  If you doubt that the loudmouth anti-American congresspersons are interested purely in their own political gain, by working further toward facilitating our failure in Iraq, you can listen to their prior stances in their own words here.  It is not a stretch to believe that our media and some in the minority in congress want nothing more than to cheer on Muslim extremists toward producing a failure of the U.S. presence in Iraq which is evermore obvious through the dearth of reporting on how the Iraqis feel about our presence.  Folks of this ilk are truly possessed.  They also mistakenly believe that failure for the U.S. would spell political gain for themselves.  Sadly their constant hammering is wearing down an uninformed American people - victims of the N.Y. Times - in spite of the fact that the Iraqis want us there, our soldiers want to be there because they can see first hand the good they are doing, and the fact that we will be fighting the war against radical Muslims for the foreseeable future, abroad or here at home, with no possibility of relief short of the radicals being killed.  When was the last time you saw an interview with an Iraqi "man-in-the-street?  How about kids on their way to school or the average Iraqi involved in his work-a-day life?
I've noticed the liberals of late seem to prefer to substitute the word "progressive" for "liberal", presumably because they believe their failure is in part a result of the way they have been labeled, rather than the result of the labels accurately describing what they stand for, politically and philosophically.  Perhaps they should take a cue from their own Ann Richards who put it well:  "You can put lipstick on a pig and call it Monique… but it's still a pig." Check the Howard Dean Scream, from the "I Have a Scream" speech, delivered on the Martin Luther King holiday.  Dean did indeed "have something special to offer America".  Since Kerry seems to be throwing his hat back into the ring I suppose it might be time have a little sport with him from an old photo op from (

Here is a link to the photos in a museum in Viet Nam honoring Kerry's Vietnam War protesting.

(anchor) Alan Keyes and the Declaration Foundation's political views and beliefs are identical to those of the Constitution Party.  Even though the Republican Party had Keyes handcuffed and put in jail for attempting to join in a Presidential debate to which he was not an invitee, for some reason Alan still wants to be associated with that party.  Even though in the elections of '04, while the Green Party vote declined by 83% and the Libertarian vote was essentially flat, the Constitution Party gained 33% more votes than in 2000, even while suffering from a lack of party and candidate name recognition, and media blackout including conservative media that fear vote theft from republican candidates.  Sinking poll numbers for Bush, and democrat foot self-shooting, along with evermore conspicuous bias displayed by the "old guard" media, begging citizen media revulsion, has offered an historically unprecedented opportunity to elect a third party candidate.  Alan Keyes received primary vote totals growing into the 20 percentiles when he ran against Bush, and appeared to have a real chance at it, until McCain entered the race and caused conservatives to vote for Bush to make sure McCain, and abortion, didn't get the nomination.  After McCain's withdrawal Keyes scored in the 20 percentiles once again.  Remember Ross Perot's bid for president was nearly successful with a much less compelling political climate.  Hopefully evangelicals have learned by now that they need to stick by and vote their principles and avoid the temptation to vote for the lesser of evils or by blind partisanship.  We need desperately a candidate that can not only run against his opponents, but also run against the mainstream media as Reagan did.  The media was terrified of Reagan because he fingered them for what they are, rather than holding his breath in hopes that they would somehow give a conservative a break.  The media has NEVER been more discredited and thereby vulnerable, or less popular with the American people, than they are today.  A run against the media would produce a terrific net vote gain.

Polls show that a new majority of 51% of women (poll taken by Faye Wattleton former head of Planned Parenthood for 14 years) are opposed to abortion except in extreme cases of incest or rape.  So why is it that my daughter's High School and general media exposure convinced her that 90% of American women favor abortion?  Ask your daughter or son.  Let's dump the NEA and privatize schooling.

"She said they were told how only agents from Homeland Security (during such an event) would be in charge of opening safe deposit boxes and determining what items would be given to bank customers. At this point they were told that no weapons, cash, gold, or silver will be allowed to leave the bank -- only various paperwork will be given to its owners."

If you go to see the movie "Last Raid" which is about the most successful rescue in U.S. military history there is something you should note.  Battan death march survivor Colonel Eugene Holmes wrote an open letter to the American people, because he is who Bill Clinton insulted in a letter that displayed Clinton's conspicuous and stunning personal cowardice and self delusion, even after Holmes was instrumental in getting Clinton a "deferment" because of big strings being pulled at the top in favor of the boy, based on Clinton's promise to join the ROTC.  Most of the rest of the nation's college graduates with identical status were fully exposed to the draft and fought in Clinton's place.  Representative Bob Dornan along with Duncan Hunter read and condemned the Clinton letter and placed it in the Congressional Record during House "special orders" prior to Clinton's election.
I recently saw "Blackhawk Down" again and it amazes me that our country would ever consider a democrat "commander in chief" when we see how their military mis-adventures are always ill-conceived, poorly planned, and micro-managed from Washington instead of letting our military professionals call the shots.  Whether it was Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter or Clinton the result was the same.  Remember the choreographed shot of Clinton pretending to have the stuff of commander in chief while storming the White House lawn with his military commanders shortly after he was elected?  Now that was a bizarre piece of footage and so conspicuously embarrassing for the military brass involved.

Let's do it again in the Senate (anchor).  (Update) Below is a list of the sell-out RINOs in the Senate that sided with the democrats.  This wimpy unprincipled party deserves to be thrown out of office.  These judicial appointments have been waiting for over 4 years.
The RINOs who trashed the republican party and chose to encourage the democrat filibusters were:  Sens. Mike DeWine of Ohio (a state that is so fiscally ignorant that it is in semi-depression), Susan Collins of Maine (what's with these Maineiacs?), Lindsey Graham of South Carolina (you southerners have been getting too conservative to suffer any more of this brand of RINO "representation"), Lincoln Chaffee of Rhode Island (Rhode Island speaks for itself), John McCain of Arizona (Wannabe democrat who also brought us campaign so-called finance reform, McCain style, that we all had the pleasure to see last election with the George Soros 17 million, let alone and other 501(c)(4)s.  Thanks John!  Little question as to whose side the PRO-ABORTIONIST McCain stands on.), John W. Warner of Virginia (he will be judged as will we all) and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine (What's with these mainacis? Are the voters in that state who voted again for this consummate RINO Snowe somewhat lacking?)  These Senators apparently have yet to discover the impact of the information age or perhaps the magnitude of their apparent sell-out.  It's well past time they were fired.  Especially McCain.  May they suffer the deserved consequence of their malfeasance in their next round of primaries and election.

Certainly Al Jazerra seized on Durban's words to Bin Ladin's benefit.  They haven't had that brand of anti-American, and anti-American soldier, aid for the Iraqi insurgents since Teddy Kennedy, and before him Baghdad Bob.  He should be forced to leave the Senate in disgrace for the defamation of the U.S. and our soldiers.  Insultingly instead of offering an apology he said he was misunderstood.  In other words he meant everything he said.
It is increasingly recognized that college conservatives are the true radicals.  The student liberals are merely fawning pawns of the liberal academia elites and administration that ARE THE ENTRENCHED ESTABLISHMENT and have been for 60 years as is evident in the charts above.  Young conservatives; don't wait until 2007 to get involved.  The time to get involved in the 2006 and 2008 elections is NOW.  Especially when it comes to investigating and then educating the public about the potential candidates, not that you can count progressive/liberal possibilities to expose for what they are, on more than 2 or 3 fingers currently.  Consider the Constitution Party.  In the elections of '04 while the Green Party vote declined by 83% and the Libertarian vote was essentially flat, the Constitution Party gained 33% more votes than in 2000.
Why not invite the Center for Bio-ethical Reform's genocide awareness project or Mini GAP to your campus?
As Rush Limbaugh intimated, the big division in our country now is the Hollywood/media elites dividing themselves from the rest of us.

The greatness of Ronald Reagan through his 1992 Republican National Convention address.

You gotta love Ann Coulter:  "Howard Dean – chairman of the party that supports murder, adultery, lying about adultery, coveting other people's money, stealing other people's money, mass-producing human embryos for spare parts like an automotive chop shop and banning God – has called the Republican Party "evil." One Democrat in the audience, a preschool teacher no less, complained that Dean was soft-pedaling his message."
On January 27, 2005, three days before the Iraqi elections, Ted spoke in what  would seem to have been an effort to destabilize the elections and demoralize our troops by stating that they were more a part of the problem in Iraq, than the solution.  He went on in what appeared to be a further attempt to weaken the resolve of the American people, to support our nation's efforts to bring stability and self-governance to the citizens of Iraq as resoundingly as we did in Afghanistan.
The obvious added benefit to the U.S. of helping Iraq is to keep the war on terror in the Middle East theatre, rather than fighting it here at home.  Radical Islam has had a declaration of war against us for a long, long time.  While the truth of the good our nation is doing is obvious, especially in light of the Iraqi election success, and in spite of the suppression of Iraqi good news in our soon-to-be formerly-referred-to-as "mainstream" media, through this speech Kennedy seems to be continuing a slide into an alternate reality of his own creation.
Update 6-15-05:  True to form Kennedy wants to shut down Gitmo.  There is little question that he and many on his side of the isle might perhaps believe they would be the political beneficiaries of another terrorist attack on the U.S.,  while Bush is president.  Kennedy and his ilk interests seem to run to freeing the very terrorists that could accomplish this.  Some of those we have freed so far were found to have gone right back to al kaida.
Do we want the Pentagon making decisions regarding the war on Iraq or the likes of Kennedy, Durban and Leyhe?  They know all too well that if they get back into power and resume the traditional Democrat party politics of appeasement, it will guarantee future terrorist attacks on the U.S..  Didn't Lyndon Johnson's attempts to micromanage the Viet Nam war from the Whitehouse teach us that the last thing we want is a bunch of Washington politicians making decisions on how best to prosecute a war as opposed to experienced military men who are involved and in the theatre of operations?
The amazing part in all this is, that even as residents of Boston and the State of Massachusetts suffer one of the most oppressive tax burdens (up to 12% on income! and comparative rape on property tax) of most any state in the Nation, and even as they have had to witness Ted Kennedy's "antics" over the years including the incidents at Chappaquidick, Palm Beach, etc., they stunningly continue to reelect him, and without any apparent embarrassment.  This must surely be one of the most peculiar political phenomenon in American, and perhaps world, history.
Perhaps a little history would help to understand how Ted Kennedy was shaped.  Joseph Kennedy according to "- As ambassador to England, Joe would later make clear that he thought the Jews had 'brought on themselves' whatever Hitler did to them. During a 1938 meeting at the German embassy in London, Kennedy assured the German ambassador that America only wanted friendly relations with Hitler. Joe said that Hitler's government had done 'great things' for the country, and that the Germans were "satisfied" and enjoyed 'good living conditions.' Joe told the ambassador that a recent report which said the limited food in Germany was being reserved for the army could not be true. After all, Joe said, the professor who had made the report 'was a Jew.'" - Ronald Kessler
Teddy consulted with Kerry when Kerry was organizing one of the largest protests of the Vietnam war to our own, as well as South Vietnam's, enemy's gain which ultimately resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of Vietnamese, and some would suggest over three million Cambodian citizens, their lives.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson, author of "Reckless Disregard", when the KGB files were opened in the 1990s Kennedy was shown to have been consorting with our enemies via the Soviet KGB to "speak out against President Jimmy Carter and his condemnation of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan" and later to offer to "undertake some additional steps to counter the militaristic policy of Reagan and his campaign of psychological pressure on the American population".  He wanted to meet with Andropov for the purpose of "arming himself with the Soviet leader's explanations of arms control policy so he can use them later for more convincing speeches in the U.S."  This is who the democrats hold up as one of their finest.
So perhaps it should come as no surprise that he, perhaps more prominently than anybody in the world, offered aid and comfort to the foreign insurgents in Iraq in what would appear to be his efforts to demoralize our troops and derail the Iraqi elections just three days before they were held.
Ted Kennedy is one of the democrat's most honored and favored spokesmen and is also a "man" who drove a car off of a bridge near Chappaquiddick then escaped the vehicle leaving behind Mary Joe Kopechne, his passenger.  Judging by this sketch directed by the scuba diver, from, we can only wonder how long it might have taken Mary Joe to slowly suffocate in an air pocket; in other words, how much time there may have been for her to have been rescued.
"- Inquest Exhibit # 14 -
- Sketch of Mary Jo Kopechne's position in the accident car prepared under the direction of scuba diver John Farrar.
- Farrar believed that the car initially contained a large pocket of trapped air, represented by the original water level."
Ted had been sailing that day, followed by partying that evening with 6 married men and 6 single women including Mary Joe.  "When Kennedy's guilty plea had been entered, McCarron argued against confinement of the defendant. 'I believe his character is well-known to the world,' McCarron said. 'We would, therefore, ask that any sentence that the court may impose be suspended.'".  "Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law?  Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?"- Senator Ted Kennedy, 1973, "'- Suspension of a mandatory sentence for leaving the scene of a fatal accident was not legal,' Falmouth attorney Frank Keating said. - 'The statute called for no less than 20 days in all cases. That meant if you gave any sentence at all, it's got to be a minimum 20 days in jail. You can't give two months, then suspend. The only way Boyle could have gotten around that was to give Senator Kennedy straight probation, with no sentence at all.'"  And so it went with hypocritical Kennedy style "high and mighty" justice wherein he answered his own question of 1973.

I voted for Howard Phillips and the Constitution Party in 2000, but in 04 our war against terrorism, that radical Islam had long before declared against us, which the Democrats have consistently demonstrated their abject incapability to understand, much less wage, along with the fact that millions more unborn children could have been killed under Kerry, especially through judicial appointment, forced me to vote with perhaps 80% of our military, since it is their rear-ends that are in the sling.  However in the elections of '04 while the Green Party vote declined by 83% and the Libertarian vote was essentially flat, the Constitution Party gained 33% more votes than in 2000.  Kerry voted against our military more than just about any other person in government with Edwards close behind.  Further, John Kerry seems to believe that if the government takes more money away from business and the private sector, that business, job growth, and income will flourish.  Does this make sense to you?  However, without radical spending cuts now we're cooked.

If you think that Hillary and Bill were not considering a run for presidents in '04, by 2000 she had already filed an FEC report (her #P00003392) to run as president.  Read the article "Another Clinton White House?" from the October 6, 2003 The New American.  If you are getting your news somewhere else you may not be getting the news.  I think it is unlikely that she would ever be elected president, but if a liberal gets in she would be a shoe-in for the Supreme Court which would be a much better fit given her pomposity and lust for power.
